The Pool Boy by Nikki Sloane

This book was not what I expected from the title--I wasn't sure what direction Nikki Sloane was going to take this, but she did NOT disappoint. The characters were complex, and this age-gap relationship was too hot to handle.

This book put the perfect cap on the Four Horsemen series. Death (Thanatos) and Lazarus's relationship is fraught, but even with their conflicting goals, they have to learn to be together. Excellent book.

This book was intense, and delightfully different from the others in the series so far. Lilith definitely deserved her HEA.

Jess and Hunter are a classic opposites attract romance--city girl, cowboy, and a lot of tension. If you enjoy that trope, this one's for you!

OMG. This is one of the first hockey romances I've ever read, and Violet and Alex burned up the pages. The supporting cast is amazing, and so is the comedy. This book was FUNNY, and I loved every minute of it.

Buck and Sunny are adorable together. The family dynamics add some extra hilarity, too. This series is a must-read.

Whew, Colin and Madison are seriously the hottest couple so far in the Nashville Neighborhood series. I swear my Kindle was smoking. I especially liked how the characters' concepts of what love should be evolved as the story went on.

This book was FIRE. Enemies to lovers done perfectly. *chef's kiss* Ilya and Shane were so well-written, and the book was so intimately in their heads. I can't stop thinking about these two, and will absolutely be reading the next one featuring this couple.

I really enjoyed Into the North. Marcus and Agnar's relationship was fraught at times, but the author did a great job of making sure that their physical intimacy wasn't tied directly to their dynamic, and consent was given. The historical world building was awesome as well, with the Agnar's village and the people within being filled with memorable characters.

I immediately picked this book up after I finished Heated Rivalry. I needed--NEEDED--to continue Shane and Ilya's story. And I'm so glad I did. These two leap off the page as realistic characters, and their HEA was hard earned. I'll even be scouring Rachel Reid's website for bonus content featuring these two, and that's saying something.
