And though this story does have its monsters, I’ve found that it is not one that can be so easily cleaved into the good and the bad. In the end, this was a story about people and their different shades of desperation, crashing up against each other.

oh ravi singh i would burn this world for you (also victor who singlehandedly carried this book)

And through more than just our eye contact, we feel so entirely unified that my heart throbs with this reminder that there is another heart out there that beats as one with mine.

Maybe it’s curiosity or daddy issues or just a plain old crush, but the fact that he’s forty has become attractive instead of sickening.

should i feel ashamed upon reading this book? probably. would i do it again if given the chance? absolutely

”And then you showed up.” His eyes flare, flashlights racing over the dark, searching. “And I could finally breathe.”

nora is so mother and charlie is so father and they are both my parents and yet at the same time im so sure i am them in another lifetime (isn't it so obvious i have resonated with charlienora so much?) they are so perfect for each other. this book is so perfect to me <3 (and like any other emily henry book, obviously <3)

“I’ve taken knives, bullets, and too many punches to count, all for a little piece of this town,” said Kaz. “This is the city I bled for. And if Ketterdam has taught me anything, it’s that you can always bleed a little more.”

i fucking love kaz's crew with ny whole heart. kanej broke the remainings of my soul and i don't think i would ever be the same again. i am demanding for mourners and one damn funeral rn bc i think a part of me just died upon finishing this book. saints, have i already emphasized on how much i freaking love kanej? bc i freaking love them. more than jesper love his pearly guns. to death.

“I love you so much that I’ve spent twelve years putting as much distance between us as I could."

people we meet on vacation isn't a book i would've expected to read and be a five star, and yet what could i do if such a book speaks to me?

i love alex neilsen & poppy wright so much. i love their banter and their dynamics and their pure, genuine love for each other. they made me realize that maybe i do love friends to lovers, or maybe i just love alexpoppy being alexpoppy. (sounds like the latter) <3

What did they see as they poked their heads out of windows and doorways? A group of hooting kids clinging to a tank painted with the Fjerdan flag and charging along like some deranged float gone astray from its parade?

i love kaz with all my heart and i would give the world to him if i could. i would even bring back inej if only i could!

this book felt like an underrated coming-of-age film but it is actually interesting and there are no boring parts and im not forcing myself to actually watch & analyze the movie. solid 4 stars, can't wait to read the 2nd book!!

Gus touched the side of my face. “I don’t need snowflakes.” He kissed me. “As long as there’s January.”

who would've thought that knee nudges would sort of be my new second favorite thing— nearly so close to january andrews and augustus everett, which are my first favorite thing. :')  *plays it's june in january, because i'm inlove*

ps. it's a good day today to rate this book four stars!

“I will build temples in honor of our love and I will worship you until the end of the world. There is nothing I wouldn’t sacrifice for you.”

this book have successfully perfected the different ways to say i love you. there is nothing more romantic than hades and persephone saying a heavily worded, carefully-constructed, 3k counted essay on how much they freaking love each other (this is my words of affirmation ass crying its eyes out as i finish this book)

the character development, especially from persephone, made me really proud of her, especially after joining her (and her sometimes insufferable ass) as i venture through the series.

#free_me from this book, i say, and yet i know damn well i would still pick the next installment after this (and eat that shit up) (in my excuse: the smut is hard af, and i need to know what happened to the gawdam titans... i really do)

in summary; still waiting for hades to burn the world for seph

ps. i love you hermes. so so much, i love you more than emails.

“Can you stay? Please? I know you’d probably rather be—” “Nowhere else,” he says, without skipping a beat. “There’s nowhere else I’d rather be.”

ali hazelwood just gets me. i love empowered woman in stem so much, i love trashing about stemlords and incels, i love an amazing #girlboss protagonist, i love the fiona apple reference, i love a boy-obsessed trope™ male lead that actually cares and is self aware about his privilege as a man. (i would do p much anything & everything just to read levi ward's pov, i love him so much.)
