4.5. Got this for free on kindle and it was way better than expected. I don’t love college romances but this wasn’t that cringy and I read it in a day

All these characters need professional help and so do I for re-reading this series. Did I still enjoy this book? Yes. But I’m not proud. 3 stars.

This is probably the worst one in the series because Rika has no back bone and Michael is too much of an ass for him to be forgiven. These books are dark and messed up but hard to put down.

Basically the entire plot of the book is,
Rika: I wont let these guys push me around
Michael: literally pushes her and tells her she sucks
Rika:

4.5. One of the only college series that I don’t cringe when I read it. So cuteeee

3.5. Cringy at times and probably my least favorite of the series. But still super cute. Actually gave me slight baby fever which never happens

This wasn’t bad but it also wasn’t good. I don’t know how to explain it. I read it fairly quickly and it kept my attention but it also took me a while to actually care about the characters. I spent most of the book so frustrated with them, but I’m pretty sure that was the point. The last 20 pages? Fully invested and couldn’t put it down. I feel like the side characters are better characters and have more depth. Yes, I will read the next book, but idk if I can read 5 books of these 2 characters without losing my mind. Also, super lame on the fade to black scenes.

I definitely should have done a re-read of the bridge kingdom and the traitor queen before reading this. The events of this book take place as the same time as the traitor queen and i loved seeing the events from another perspective. This is a great high fantasy series that has great world building and a decent romance. 4 stars.

It’s been a while since I was this engrossed in a book. I could not put it down. It was sappy at times but I loved all of it. So cute, amazing representation of abusive relationships, and another fictional man raising the bar too high for real men everywhere. 5 stars. Great book for getting out of a reading slump.

I had high expectations going into this because of tiktok. I was definitely disappointed but not because it was bad writing or anything but just because it’s not typically the type of book I like. The ending was good and it all came together super well. However, when reading a romance, this is not really the format I prefer. It was more of a poetic romance and a good story about life and grief. Super cool idea, just a little boring for me.
