3-3.5. It was cute but didn’t give what I needed it to give. Fairly basic cute plot, but not enough character development. Just didn’t really care about that characters that much and wasn’t really engrossed in the book. I had to force myself to read so I could finish it. Not bad but nothing special

This was cute and I really enjoyed the first half. Friends to lovers is always an amazing trope and the whole I’ll take care of you and make sure everything’s ok. I was invested after a few chapters and read the whole book in a day.

However, the second half really tanked it’s rating. The 3rd act breakup was super frustrating and honestly I didn’t really like the MC’s that much by the end. It was a 4 star until the cringe turtle video and then the 3rd act breakup.

Was this good? Not really. Was it bad though? Also no. I read it super fast, but it is short. I laughed from second hand embarrassment OFTEN because it was too much. But also, it was a good pallet cleanser book because it was no plot, just vibes. Tiktok overly hyped it up, and if it wasn’t for tiktok and me having hella fomo, I would never have picked this up. I got this book for like $5 and honestly that almost feels like too much. However, I was invested enough to finish it and it was cute at times. But oh wow was it weird.

I just read this one because I already bought it. I wish I could bleach this series from my brain. The MC was sooo cringy I wanted to throw the book. It really is just blue alien smut and I wish I could turn back time and not have to experience this. I was somehow invested but also very disturbed.

I was worried in the first 100 pages I wasn’t going to love this but I was so wrong. It went from feeling immature to surprisingly spicy 150 pages in. I was shocked how good the spicy scenes were and i was not expecting it at all. I could not put the book down for the last 200 pages. This was suuuper cheesy and the way Jasper acted at times it was hard to take him seriously and made him seem younger than 25, but then I’m the moments that mattered, he was a great love interest and could dirty talk like a champ. Super heartwarming. Great Tourette/ADHD representation. The opposite of the miscommunication trope which I always appreciate. The little love triangle that was momentarily thrown in had me stressed, but it was resolved beautifully. I was pleasantly surprised.

This was decent but just underwhelming. It felt kinda insta love due to the author writing minimal dialog of the characters actually getting to know each other. I was hardly invested in their relationship. Also, the whole possible murders plot was cool but done in the most predictable way where it was just frustrating that the characters took so long to figure it out. Would have been better if it was like 100 pages longer and those pages had actually relationship development.

I bought this book for the cover. I have stopped reading YA because it was getting repetitive and honestly I hate when the characters are like barely legal age. But oh my god this was so good. Yes the main characters are 18 and 19 but their interactions and inner-monolog don’t feeling annoyingly YA. I was able to pretend they were actually in their 20’s. With that being said, this is still definitely a YA book and has YA themes. It is not as dark as an adult fantasy book and has the typical YA, good with always win over evil, and if we are good then good things will happen optimism. Like the conflict was resolved way too easily and honestly everyone was being way to reasonable and I couldn’t stop rolling my eyes. that being said this is a 5/5 for a YA book. Not 5/5 for all books in general. If I was rating this compared to some of my favorite adult fantasies I would still definitely give it a 4/5.

This is absolutely a high fantasy book but the world building was fantastic. Normally with high fantasy the first 100 pages are confusing word building that’s shoved in your face. With the it flowed so naturally with the story. I was complete invested after not even 30 pages.

This was an incredibly unique Robin Hood retelling that was great from the get go. World building 5/5, character development 5/5, romance was an extremely well written subplot that was never cringe but enough to keep those who strictly read romance fully interested. I believe there will be a second book, at least I hope there will. Highly recommend.

I adore this series. Probably one of the best YA series I’ve read. This was so good I am internally screaming that I have to wait for the next book. Ugh that ending though. I will be thinking about this book until I have the next one in my hands.

Eh. It’s was ok. It just felt like a bunch of stuff kept happening and then instantly being resolved with no build up. There wasn’t much build up to anything. When they book ended I felt like there really wasn’t a big like resolution or conflict. I spent most of the book not really feeling like there was one real antagonist. The side characters were the best part but even their role was minimum. Just eh

3.5-4 stars. Overall a decent, easy to read romance. Main critique was there was a lot of real pop culture references and celebrities mentioned and I internally died when one of the characters used “lit”. I personally hate references to real life people in my books but aside from that it was super cute.
