I really love this series. The chapters go by so fast. JLB is a boss at mysterious fast paced stories. I was wrong with who I thought was the unsub and that’s rare for me. I love all the naturals Lia, Sloane, Michael! I LOVE YOU MICHAEL! But Cassie and Dean are just so good together. The slow burn was slow burning and I loved every minute of it. Cassie is such a good main character

“None of us had normal childhoods," Sloane said quietly. "If we had, we wouldn't be Naturals.”

“A hard grimace set on Abitha’s face. “If it is a witch they want,” she hissed, “then a witch they shall have.”
My new favorite book. Beautiful, poetic and bloody. I wish I was prancing around the Paw paw tree with the wild folk. Samson and Abitha are just perfect.

“That is not what you want, that is what you need. You are not made out of needs, you are made out of your dreams and desires.”

“I am not Abitha. Abitha was murdered. I am the witch, and the witch cares not for your tears.”

“Abitha laughed loud and hard, realized it was more than this bawdy song, it was being able to let her hair down, to be her vulgar, sassy self in front of someone again, even if that someone might be the Devil himself.”

“Abitha is dead, they killed her, all that is left is wrath and malice … my restless soul. Do you understand?”

better the lightening thief graphic novel for sure. The books are obviously way superior but I’m enjoying the ride anyway

Some key points like Luke coming after Percy in the end didn’t happen and I wish it was. It was great to see the graphics though, especially if Camp Halfblood and Olympus

It’s not that I didn’t like it. I totally did. And… it feels like the Christina Lauren’s books all have very similar plots with miscommunication tropes. Elliot is an all time favorite book bf. I think the authors really didn’t address how
Elliot was sexual assaulted by Emma. It was  was brushed off as a mistake. I would’ve liked more about him being supported too and less miscommunication tropes. It just broke my heart what happened to him and he deserved therapy and lots of hugs
I love Elliot and Macy. If Macy had said half the things she thought during the “now” timeline, the book would’ve been half as long. But regardless. Macy and Elliot made my heart hurt and I’ll never forget them. Their tension and childhood best friends, to strangers to ENDGAME. GOD I LOVE ELLIOT!!!

“Favorite word?” he whispers.
I don’t even hesitate: “You.”

“Why can’t everyone be like you?”
“I can be enough of your world that it feels like everyone is.”

“I like your kind of quiet. Your heart isn’t quiet.”

“Well, you’re more, too. You’re my best everything.”

“You broke up with her last night?”
He nods … “You’re the love of my life. I assumed I would get over you eventually, but seeing you yesterday?” He shakes his head. “I couldn’t go home to someone else and pretend to love her with everything I have.”

“I think of her everywhere. She is everywhere, in every moment, and also she’s in no one moment. She misses every single one of my moments and I’m not sure who that is harder for: me surviving here without her, or her without me, existing wherever she is.”
