Okay but FUN!!!!! What a cool concept!
This had a strange way of being so totally unique even though the tropes are not necessarily new?

This is the first gamer romance I’ve read and I would not be opposed to reading more - so I’m glad the series continues!

I think Madison’s writing can only get better from here but it was already really well done. The pacing of this book felt great, the way the gamer lingo was included but not overused in a way that was distracting…

I enjoyed this!

I am a Romantasy reader usually, however if the queen Kandi Steiner writes it? I’m going to read it. Because every single one of her books I’ve read is a 4.5⭐️ or better!

There’s something about the way Kandi writes plot, dialogue and spice that just combines to tick basically all my boxes. And the way each story is able to still feel unique and not a carbon copy after such a big backlog? So impressive.

This story is well paced, executes a good use of tropes without feeling forced, and honestly had a unique version of the 3rd act breakup you get in typical romance novels without it actually feeling like it was? You’ll know what I mean when you read it. So good.

Also Jax can get it… any time; any where; any how - Jax can get it.

Beau MF Eaton… we’ll that was unexpected?! In the best way only!

I wasn’t expecting to enjoy this book as much as I did which just makes me an idiot because this whole series just kept getting better and better honestly.

Baileys story was so well done, I love her to bits (not enough to top Willa as fave FMC of the series but still!)

The depiction of Beaus PTSD/anxiety etc was a little surface level but in a way that made it only enhance the plot not detract from it - this was truely a romance book.

I really enjoyed the plot as well as the spice, it was a worthy end to the series - though it a little cut we don’t get more Harvey content

Fun but ultimately forgettable.

I really enjoyed Praise, and I think I could have really enjoyed this book - however some aspects just didn’t live up to my expectations and it ultimately fell a little flat.

I loved Mia, her growth and self expression were beautifully written. I also love Garrett, however I was truely frustrated by the fact we didn’t explore his battle with manic depression until the last 20% of the book. This is a character aspect that could have made the book GREAT if actually delt with.

As always with SC books, the spice was spicy albeit a little repetitive in the end.

Did I enjoy? Yes. Would I read again? Probably not.
Good but not great!

I enjoyed this more than I thought I would, and that can be firmly placed on one man’s shoulders - John Tucker.

Tucker could just be one of my favourite book boyfriends ever. The patience of a saint, the critical thinking ability of a genius and the way he understands and adapts to what his woman needs/will respond too? SWOON.

The story was okay, not my favourite tropes but sweet nonetheless. This book was truely carried for me by the characters - well, one character. And the appearance of his buddies we came to know and love.

Writing is typical Elle Kennedy - makes it easy to be sucked away, not put the book down, etc.

I wanted to love this book, I really did!
Whilst it wasn’t love, I did still enjoy it.

Things i did love - our MMC, and the way his backstory was revealed. I feel like he was well written and fleshed out. The plot was a little messy around him but it was intriguing and kept me captivated.

Unfortunately for me I read this off the back of a quite mature, high fantasy and that made the “immaturity” aspect of the main character BLAZINGLY obvious throughout. She makes statements that are just flat out teenage like, she come across a little whiney at times and super cringey in others.

This book was a mixed bag for me, but I will still read other JH books! I’ve heard the writing only gets better with each book she’s published!

This book was such a mixed bag all around!

I equal parts loved and hated the FMC. She was feisty and strong willed - until she wasn’t?

The FMC was dominant and possessive in a hot way… but also in. completely asshole way.

I can’t decide if I loved the story or hated it.

I did have a pretty fun time reading it though, hence the 3.5⭐️ rating!

This was a fun, college sports romance story; it gave what it needed to give.

Was this, the best writing I’ve ever read? No. But I did read it in one sitting, so it was definitely bingeable. I listened to the audiobook, the narration was great.

my main gripe with this book was that the pacing was a little all over the place. There were sections that I think needed to be fleshed out more, or even dragged out a little. There were also scenes that probably could’ve wrapped up quicker or were unnecessary.

Ultimately, I had an enjoyable experience reading this book, but I don’t know that I would read it again.
