I really really wanted to like this book.

I think I’m too old for it now? It’s very teenage coded.

Also don’t love the pacing - it was too slow at first. Characters are fun but I wanted the romance to build up more. I wasn’t invested.

I love the teen detective trope and Stevie is great at it. But so much happens at the end and then a cliffhanger?? Ugh.

This novel could’ve been cut in half. Bumping up from 2.75 because I am invested enough to read the next one to find out what happens.

I think this would’ve been 4 stars if I was in high school

So many inconsistencies tbh and it felt like this was very generic high fantasy. I really craved more world building, character dev from FMC and just in general the overall plot.

Loved Nightmare tho

Cute & quirky , if a touch slow. It definitely pulled me in!

Love the concept

Cute, quirky, a bit meta.

D&d meets quirky coffee shop vibes.

The time travel portion is confusing really? I needed an explanation.

Also her mother sounds a bit overbearing and toxic at times. She needs some self reflection.

A skip, for me.

Slow to start and pickup but I really fell in love with the quirky characters - especially Emily, Shadow, Poe.

I loved the take on faeries. Very unique.

Wish there was more romancing - maybe in the next book

It’s like 50 shades of grey but in Italy and with the mafia involved.
The smut was a little too much but I loved the setting.
