HER KNIGHT AT THE MUSEUM is probably the most fun i've had reading a book in a while. from the first page, this book had me cackling, swooning, and kicking my feet in delight. the story follows emily porter, an art conservator working on restoring a medieval statue of a knight... except that statue turns out to be a very real (albeit cursed) knight and a kiss frees him from his prison. now emily has to figure out how to teach griffin about the modern world, all while battling her growing feelings for him and trying to avoid being arrested for art theft.
this was such a fun time and i honestly cannot recommend it enough. i would read 10000 more books about emily and griffin's shenanigans!! i also really loved that it took place in chicago, which is one of my favorite cities. thank you so much to netgalley and berkley for the advanced copy! HER KNIGHT AT THE MUSEUM comes out november 12.

abby jimenez never misses and SAY YOU'LL REMEMBER ME is no exception to that. this is such a beautiful story that it's hard to even put into words how much i loved it. it's absolutely heartwrenching in the best way, with moments that will make you cry and laugh in equal measure. xavier and samantha's connection is immediate and undeniable, but seeing them overcome so much to end up together never felt rushed or forced. i'm not even a big fan of insta-love as a trope, but jimenez's talent could persuade me to like anything she wrote.
SAY YOU'LL REMEMBER ME comes out april 1 and you're going to want to read it!!! thanks to forever for the advanced copy.

ALL I WANT IS YOU is a swoony holiday romance about two exes, both of whom are romance authors, who reunite years after their breakup at their publisher's holiday ball. however, they find themselves trapped at the hotel due to a snowstorm, and of course, there are no rooms left...
i'm a sucker for so many of the tropes in this book and it was such a quick, cute, and fun read, perfect to get in the holiday spirit! nick and jess (and yes, there is a new girl reference in the book) have such good dynamic and i loved seeing them come back to each other after everything, especially the way that jess really made nick work for it.
read if you like:
- second chance
- author MCs
- short and sweet
thanks to netgalley and putnam for the advanced copy!

KEEP ME by sara cate is a steamy marriage of convenience romance about sylvie, a new yorker who agrees to marry a grumpy scotsman at his family's request, all for low low sum of 10 million dollars. but as she spends more time with killian, it gets harder and harder for her to keep her distance from her husband.
i really enjoy sara cate's books and this was no exception! it's a lot different from the salacious players' club series (and certainly a lot less spicy), but i loved how combative and argumentative sylvie and killian were. like they gave absolutely no shits about what they said to each other, so it really felt like the enemies were enemy-ing (until they were not).

thanks to hambright PR and sourcebooks casablanca for the advanced copy! KEEP ME comes out december 3.

THE CHRISTMAS YOU FOUND ME is an absolutely heart-wrenching but wonderful holiday romance about sienna naples, a recently-divorced cattle rancher whose best friend puts out a "husband for hire" ad for her as a joke to celebrate her divorce being finalized. but when guy maple, a single dad caring for his four year old with chronic kidney disease, shows up to answer the ad, sienna agrees to marry him to help emma get the kidney transfer she needs. after all, it's just a marriage of convenience and they won't fall in love, right?
this was such a beautiful story about love, family, and second chances. while this story does deal with some heavy subjects (and is one of the rare few books to have made me cry!!), it was so incredibly heartwarming and it really got me in the holiday spirit (in october, no less). this is my first book by morgenthaler, but i will definitely be checking out more of her books.

IF I STOPPED HAUNTING YOU is a paranormal romance about two rival horror authors who go on the same writing retreat to a haunted castle in scotland and have to put their differences aside when they find themselves in a real-life ghost story.
the concept for this book is fantastic and i loved the combination of horror and romance elements, as well as the representation since both MCs are native. the message of all the issues within publishing and how white it is as an industry is so important and so necessary and i loved how wilkens incorporated that into the story. i did feel like the relationship between MCs was a bit rushed, but i did enjoy their chemistry, banter, and the spice did not disappoint.
however, there were quite a few historical inaccuracies that ultimately affected my enjoyment of the book and knocked a few stars off my review. i may not be a historian, but i do love historical romances and it felt pretty clear that there wasn't nearly enough research done about british aristocracy, peerages, and how titles are inherited. at first, i was willing to overlook it, but this ended up being a significant part of the plot.
thanks to netgalley and st. martin's griffin for the advanced copy!

MY KIND OF TROUBLE is described as a modern, genderbent version of "the music man," about a con woman and the librarian she falls for while on the job. i absolutely loved harmony and preston and seeing them fall for each other had me giggling my feet, twirling my hair, the whole shebang. the banter was absolutely topnotch and seeing preston slowly give in to his feelings for harmony, tearing his walls down and letting her in was incredible. not to mention the small town setting, the autistic rep, preston being guardian to his younger sister... i loved all of it. give me five more books about harmony and preston, please.

THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE KISSMAS is a queer holiday romantasy and probably the most fun i've ever had reading a holiday romance. it follows coal, the prince of christmas, as he competes with hex, the handsome and mysterious prince of halloween, to win a betrothal to iris, the princess of easter. except... it's all a PR stunt coordinated by his dad, the reigning santa, coal doesn't have feeling for iris, and oh, yeah, he's falling for hex.
if that sounds wild, it's because it absolutely is but in the best way ever and i had such a good time reading the book. the concept of holidays as magical kingdoms with alliances, betrayals, and revolutions is so creative!! i would read a thousand more books in this universe about the chaotic shenanigans of the heirs to the holidays (and good thing too because book 2 is coming out in march!).
read if you like:
- rwrb but magical
- christmas puns
- campy holiday fun

LOOK UP, HANDSOME is a queer holiday romance set in the small town of hay-on-wye in wales. quinn is the owner of the first and only queer bookshop in town—that is, until his stepdad and landlord sends him an eviction notice. quinn is determined to do whatever he needs to save his shop, but when he meets noah, a romance novelist, he can't help but be distracted.
this book has everything i love in a holiday romance and i absolutely loved it. i did find the pacing to be a bit slow in the first third, but as the story progressed, the pacing got much better. i loved the cast of characters in this book and the town coming together to help quinn save the bookshop was so heartwarming!! aside from quinn and noah's romance, i also really enjoyed quinn's relationship with hermione and how it helped him develop.
read if you like:
- grumpy/sunshine
- forced proximity
- small town romance
thanks to netgalley and one more chapter for the advanced copy!
