sapphicbug's Reviews (192)

Ali Hazelwood never does me wrong (ok maybe once or twice but I love that white woman!). This book was just a silly good time. I loved Misery and Lowe and I thought the dynamic between the pack was really compelling and fun to read. I will say, I am (unfortunately?) a veteran omega fanfic reader (I should not have had access to wattpad at the age of 12) but even I was thrown off by the knot lol. Also why'd they just brush over the fact Misery doesn't wash herself with anything... like lets talk about that more plz what do you mean?????

cute but I don't think this meets up to Ashley Poston's other work (speaking as a huge fan of her). I think maybe I'm just not a novella person so if you are maybe you'll enjoy it!

I wish I understood this book the way others do but it just didn't really do that much for me. It borders pretentious and some of the parts read to me like a 2013 aesthetic tumblr post under the same vein as the fault in our stars's "this cigarette is a metaphor." I did like elements of this and I can't help but give Olivie Blake her 10s because even if I didn't personally get it, I can understand that she is a fantastic author and for that I can't give this book a bad review.

this is actually my books, sorry guys. Like Harrow actually specifically wrote this for me. This book changed my life so badly I made playlists for it... it was that serious. I spent weeks thinking about Opal and Arthur. It has everything I love: sentient house, small southern town with ~~secrets~~, gothic atmosphere; all cultivating to create my perfect book. I have no notes. I knew this was going to be my favorite book of the year 50 pages in. And I get it might not be for everyone, but it's absolutely for me and I can't praise it enough.
