Incredible writing!
Love story got a bit pretentious by the end, but thats me being nit-picky.

Scrappy Little Nobody by Anna Kendrick

Hilarious, honest and raw.
I really enjoyed her comical stories about film sets and award shows.
Anna Kendrick is incredibly charming in this.

I honestly couldn't finish this book. I just found it boring and dull and convenient

Beautiful, colorful story with twists and turns. It kept me on my toes from cover to cover.
The characters were strong and diverse. The world was well built and original.
SPOILERS BELOW:
I, however, wasn't a massive fan of the love story. It seemed very sudden. I think I would've preferred if Scarlett's fiancé wasn't a bad guy or if her and Julien just had a close friendship at the end of it. She spent a lot of the book having a disdain for Julien and then they just fell in love when he gave her one of his days.
I did love Scarlett's character development over the course of the book. She goes from being a conservative, shy and meek girl to a courageous and confident one. It's really showed the growth that a lot of girls go through. Tella, however didn't go through much of a development. She's still impulsive and stubborn, but I hope that changes in the second book. I don't fault Tella that much. She's younger than Scarlett therefore hasn't gone through this change yet.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book! I honestly can't wait to reread it.

Carry On by Rainbow Rowell

There was honestly so much more I wish this book was.
It was lack luster in so many ways and just lacked so much authenticity. It was corny and insincere.
I enjoyed the humor though.
The plot really suffered from the emphasis on character arcs.
The entire book read like Harry Potter fan fiction (which I have read many times and loved more than this).
I didn't hate Carry On, I just wish it was different.
