Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas

It started off a touch generic fantasy but towards the end, I was really enjoying the unique use of magic.
I really could've done without the love triangle though. It felt very trope-y (not necessarily a bad thing, it just didn't add much to that actual plot).
I'm interested to see how the rest of the series plays out.

Such a raw, vulnerable and harrowing read. I admire Jeannette so much for having the courage to share her story.

I really enjoyed the first quarter of this book. The world was fun and cool. The last third…what a slog….
It literally took me three months to finish this book. I just didn’t look forward to picking it back up. I just wanted to finish it.
This book is several chapters too long. I feel like there were a lot of points that could’ve been taken out and it wouldn’t have changed.
I loved the plot twist at the very end. That was a great way to intrigue me to read the sequel but I need a break.

I didn’t like this book nearly as much as I liked Dark Places. I love Gillian Flynn’s writing but this book dragged

Harrowing and visceral. This book is quite disturbing but it is incredibly poignant and powerful.

Gripping from start to finish. Not a ton of jaw dropping plot twists (I saw the ending coming) and it took a hard left turn into the absurd about halfway through but it was a really fun read.

This may be one of the best murder mysteries I’ve ever read. Gripping and harrowing. A page turner from cover to cover.
This book is such a great look into the justice system and its views on sexual assault.
If I have to nitpick, I didn’t love the jumping back and forth but I got used to it quickly.

This book had wayyyyy too many plot twists and characters. It got really confusing and convoluted. The main plot was really interesting but I didn’t like the other plots.

My favorite Megan Goldin of the three I’ve read. Never thought investment banking would be so fascinating
