Lena ended this series one a high note! This books was my favorite of the series. I am a sucker for a grumpy MMC who is the sweet and doting to the FMC. Duke was no different. Duke and Sylvie’s relationship develops into this sweet love despite the barrier of their family drama. I loved how supportive Duke was especially making sure she didn’t feel alone despite all of the town gossip. I will say that the secondary plot involving the feud and mineral rights did feel rushed at the end. It needed a little more detail and explanation. I am definitely intrigued to read Lena’s next series focusing on the King family. This book is perfect for fans of hot grumpy farmers and accidental pregnancy tropes.

Laura Pavlov never disappoints!! I really loved this book. Boxing is not a sport I prefer to watch or follow but this book was *chef’s kiss* It’s giving Rocky meets small town romance, checking off some boxes I didn’t know I had. Romeo and Demi are a couple you are rooting for from the jump, especially seeing their relationship evolve and development into a deep meaningful connection. Both are so supportive of the other and really opened up and were vulnerable. The challenges Romeo and Demi faced are very realistic and handled so well. I appreciated that the family dynamics were as complex as they are in life. Also, honorable mention to this friend group! I love all of the guys and the found family vibes they deliver. I am so excited to read the rest of the series!

Fans of Kennedy Ryan will love this book- it packs drama, depth, and emotion in a similar style as she does. This books is like if Scandal had a crossover episode involving the art world.  I enjoyed this book and am kicking myself for not having read it sooner. While the romance isn’t completely central to the plot you get to see how Rachel and Nathan’s relationship unfolds. You definitely find yourself rooting for them from the jump despite the circumstances standing in their way. Regina’s debut novel is excellent and I’m intrigued to see what she writes next. I for sure would recommend this book if you are looking for a romance that delivers complexity and drama.

Starting off the year with a solid romance! I loved Cord he is sweet, supportive, and desperately in love. I appreciated Pearl’s drive and vision for her life. I wish she had opened up to Cord sooner though especially because of their history. Because of that, the resolution of the third act conflict was a little too quickly tied together. I wanted to see that wall come down sooner so that there was more time for conversation and growth to be involved in the resolution. I loved the dual timelines though! It was fun learning their history at the same time as seeing the relationship develop. This one was not as strong as The Fastest Way to Fall but I enjoyed it and would recommend it.

Lana’s second novel is definitely not as strong as The Nanny. This one offered up some great spicy scenes like her first book but otherwise it fell flat for me. I didn’t feel like Mackenzie and Noah’s connection and bond was much beyond their hormones. I needed to see their emotional connection more fleshed out. The shifter aspect of the book didn’t seem to add much to the story and relationship. I felt like this book couldn’t decide if it wanted to be paranormal or not. Also, the background information wasn’t laid out early enough in the story. I still enjoyed the book but this one was not as exciting as I had hoped.

Looking for a quick and spicy novella? You’re in the right spot. This New Year’s Eve novella is spicy and fast paced. Not super festive but definitely enjoyable all the same. Sumner is the classic MMC who is OBSESSED with the FMC. Unfortunately we don’t have any build up as to how or why he got those feelings. Britta has some baggage she needs to work through (the novella would’ve benefitted from that being done more so on the page). Despite that the novella is fun to read.

What a sweet (and spicy) Christmas novella! This short story is well developed and very satisfying. You will feel immersed in the plot and rooting for these two sweet friends- Clara and Evan. The only thing that would’ve made this friends to lovers x fake dating story better was if we got more of a chance in the beginning to see how deep their friendship was. It felt like it needed to be explained throughout rather than be part of setting the stage. Honorable mention to Clara’s awesome and supportive parents! I recommend this for anyone looking for a solid Christmas novella.

This is a cute and quick festive story! This one is perfect for fans of an instant connection. Harlow and Micheal have chemistry off the bat and spend a night together (we love some holiday spice). The ending was a little rushed, I wish that their story could’ve been a little more developed before the quick wrap up. Give this a read if you’re looking for a fun short story.

This book is definitely my favorite of the series! I just adored Caleb and Layla, individually and as a couple. Caleb feeling like too much? Very relatable. Layla feeling like she isn’t deserving of deep love and kindness? Also relatable. You immediately find yourself rooting for them. Caleb is the sweetest and is extremely supportive. He will have you swooning while you read. You’ll get the butterflies and heartwarming feels. You also will be craving all the delicious baked goods. The third act conflict for sure had me tearing up because I was all in on the emotional connection with these two. This book really delivered on all fronts- sweet and swoony romance with some great spicy scenes throughout. I recommend this for fans of fake dating/teaching tropes and my fellow small town girlies out there. Run and download this one immediately!

BK Borrison writes such sweet romances with sprinkles of spice throughout. Beckett is a grumpy on the outside with a secretly sweet inside for those he cares about. Evelyn is trying to rediscover herself and what she wants which is relatable. I also appreciate that they are quite supportive of each other. I found this book to be not as strong as Lovelight Farms mainly due to the heavy reliance on the miscommunication trope. While it made sense for one the characters to struggle to communicate, the utter lack of communication between the two for the third act conflict was frustrating. Despite that I did enjoy this book and would recommend it. I’m excited to continue on with the series!
