Melanie Harlow does it again! I wasn’t sure what to expect after reading the synopsis but I loved this book. Wes and Hannah were such a sweet couple, you found yourself rooting for them immediately. The tension in this book was so well done. The barriers and conflicts (both internal shuffles and outside factors) were very realistic. I could really feel and connect with the emotions of Wes and Hannah. I will say I could not stand Lenore and felt she should’ve had to put in more work to be forgiven. Honorable mention to the appearances of Margot, Jack, Georgia, and Pete. I definitely would recommend this book!

This one was a slower start for me to get into, this was a weaker follow-up to After We Fall but I did enjoy this book. Theo has severe abandonment and trust issues that impact his self esteem and confidence in relationships. I feel like his struggles are realistically protested. Claire is deeply caring and kind but lacks confidence in herself. These two help each other grow as individuals. Their connection wasn’t as compelling as Margot and Jack’s but Theo and Claire are still a couple you root for.

Writing is very clunky, I just could not vibe with the writing style. I wanted to enjoy reading this book but unfortunately I just could not get into it.

Melanie Harlow is the small town romance queen! I really enjoyed this book, it had so much heart. This one is definitely more emotional than the first one in this series (and has stronger writing). I loved Jack and Margot. Jack is so torn between punishing himself and wanting to be happy, you really feel for him as he battles this internally. He is a sweet man disguising himself as a grump. I liked Margot’s journey towards independence and no longer worrying about what others will think when making decisions. I definitely would recommend this book!

What a silly fun read! While this wasn’t Melanie Harlow’s most compelling romance, I did enjoy reading this book. It made me laugh out loud a few times. I liked Quinn, he was so charming and very earnest in his attempts to win over Jamie. I felt that Jamie’s commitmentphobia was a little extreme considering there wasn’t a particular event that really triggered that. This book delivers on the spice pretty early on. I would recommend this book for anyone looking for a quick and fun read!

I enjoyed this book. It did not need to be quite as long as it was, I felt a slightly sped up timeline or some editing would’ve benefitted the book. Noah was the perfect mix of sweet and protective grump. I liked that both Noah and Shay were vulnerable and tried to support each other in confronting their insecurities. Gennie was a cute rambunctious kiddo that added a fun dynamic. This book is a bit of a slow burn but is quite spicy once you hit that point in the book. I would recommend this book!

Another solid book in the Dark Olympus series! This book has a mix of the plot involving the scheming amongst and against the Thirteen as well as that signature Katee Robert spice (though less than the previous books in the series). I enjoyed this one. Apollo is the sweetest dom, he deeply cares for Cassandra. Cassandra is strong willed and fiercely cares for those closest to her. I would recommend this book!

I really enjoyed this book, truly a solid sequel to Things We Never Got Over! This one did take me a little while to get into- partly because I didn’t feel well and partly because I needed to jog my memory of the plot of the first book in the series. Let me tell you though once I started hitting a groove with the book it was game over. I loved Lina and Nash, they cared about each other right from the start even if sparks were flying as they argued. I liked seeing their relationship evolve. This series also has a great cast of characters. I love that this book is romantic suspense but also is sweet and funny and spicy, it really delivers on all fronts. I am dying to read Lucian and Sloane’s book next.

Kennedy Ryan does it again! Queen Move is an emotional romance between childhood friends Kimba and Ezra. You can feel the palpable connection between the two every time they are in the page together. These characters go through quite the journey over the years and it was nice getting them to their happy ending. In true Kennedy Ryan fashion there were many roadblocks- I could have done with a few less- but I still enjoyed reading it. I would recommend this book!

The Rebel King is a strong sequel to The Kingmaker and I actually enjoyed it more! It gives all the political drama realness a reader could ask for with a subplot of kidnapping and murder. I love how this book showcases the connection between Lennix and Maxim and how we can see how deeply they care for each other. I appreciate that they build each other up and don’t make themselves smaller for the other’s benefit. I definitely would recommend this book!
