Fascinating book about extremely high level topics written in a very approachable way. The patient accounts were captivating and left me wanting to learn more about so many things. Thanks Helen for continuing to spark my curiosity!

This is my first Baldwin book, and I was blown away by his ability to convey really complex emotions. Loved it, and can’t wait to read more of his work.

Heart wrenching story of a period of history I knew little about before this book. Was eye opening, emotional, and made me curious to learn more about Biafra and the war in my own research. It took me quite a bit of time to read this one because of life scheduling, and I think I would have enjoyed it even more without so many long breaks in between reads.

I wanted to like this book more than I did. I think the prose and the lack of any fluidity in plot was my breaking point. It was hard to stay immersed while reading and hard to finish.

A punchy little self help book. It’s a bit repetitive, but gives nice little empowering reminders and he takes a pretty no BS approach to delivery. I thought it was decent, but not life changing.

A short read that’s useful in moments of doubt or confusion while on the journey of entrepreneurship, especially solo-entrepreneurship. Was gifted to me at a pinnacle moment, which is how I feel this book is best received. It’s a great little gift and knowledge that should be passed along to others in similar circumstances.
