This was a pretty fun and heartwarming read.
But it did feel like things with Gerard dragged on a bit.
I’m curious to see what the next book will bring, as this definitely could’ve been a standalone as well.

I’m feeling kind of conflicted about this book. On the one hand I thought it was very whimsical but on the other hand some of Shiori’s actions really irritated me. They felt very selfish, especially in the beginning when she was with Seryu

This wasn’t working for me. Things felt way too obvious for me, even though they kind of weren’t. The ending was underwhelming for sure.

Het concept was goed, de uitwerking wat minder. Veel beschrijvingen vond ik te uitgebreid waardoor ik moeite had om echt in het verhaal te blijven. Het verloop van het verhaal zelf was op een gegeven moment ook niet echt spannend.

Maybe my rating is a bit too harsh but this book really wasn’t working for me. The characters were way too unlikeable and the writing style was not a vibe. Half of it didn’t even make sense to me. The only thing that really made sense to me is the title of this book.

Dit was een prima verhaal, maar ik vond het niet geweldig. Er zijn eerdere delen geweest waarvan ik het plot spannender en beter in elkaar vond zitten.

This was a very enjoyable read and I really liked the found family aspect of it. The setting was really nice and it was a fun way to learn about this Korean legend.

I liked the concept, but I just couldn’t stand Julie. I get that she was going through a lot, but she wasn’t the only one and it felt like she made everything about herself.
