A FING MASTERPIECE!! The closer we get to the end of this series the closer I get to my being destroyed over the fact that it is over and not knowing what to do with my life.

Before I go any further in the review, it is extremely important that you know that this book is EXTREMELY DARK AND TRIGGERING! Please, Please before reading this book look up all the trigger warnings, I try to put as many as I can in the content warning section of my ratings but sometimes I miss some or aren’t aware of some so please do some research on your own. Your mental health is way more important than reading a book!!
They just keep getting better and better! I wish I could rate this book higher than the first one because it somehow was even better than the first one which I also gave five stars. I don’t know what else to say about this book other than it was fantastic and I’m even more addicted than I was after finishing the first book.
The first book was definitely sad but this book broke my heart multiple times, Every single time we got even a hint about Lana’s past I was in TEARSSS! I was also bawling my eyes out with the whole side storyline about Hadley and her past. It just completely breaks my heart to know that sadly there are people out there who do this kinda of stuff to people and kids.
I’m starting to realize why it's called the Mindf*ck series because that is what it does to not only your mind but your moral compass. Even though I'm fully aware that what Lana is doing isn’t okay and just becomes someone doing bad things to you... like I mean REALLY bad things to you doesn't give you the right to murder them but then she tells us what they did and I find myself rooting her on even though in real life I would never support what she is doing.
I do not recommend reading the end of this book right when you are about to go to bed because the ending of this book is the definition of a cliffhanger and you will need to read the next book as soon as you finish this one. If you read this book and that wasn’t the case for you... please reach out to me and teach me your ways.
There's not much else to say without just repeating everything else I said in my review of the first book because everything I said in that book still applies to this one. All you really need to know is that this book and the series it is a part of is absolutely amazing and I am completely addicted to it. it is taking over my life. PLEASE READ THEM!!

Before we go any further with this review I need to make this very clear, This book is VERY DARK AND TRIGGERING!!! so before reading it please, PLEASE look at the triggers and proceed with caution!
The Risk by S.T. Abby is the first book in the Mindf*ck series and follows Lana Myers, who seems like a normal woman but in reality, she’s a serial killer, and if that’s not complicated enough she has also fallen in love with the FBI agent- Logan Bennet- who is the agent on her case.
Where has this book been all my life?! I can’t believe this book has been out since 2016 and I’m just now reading it! I absolutely devoured it and I enjoyed every minute of reading this book.
I am amazed at how much S.T. Abby is able to fit in, in such a short book and how she was able to get me addicted and obsessed with this series in just a matter of pages (Who am I kidding, I was obsessed with it after reading the synopsis). The writing in this book just makes it impossible to not become obsessed with the story, characters, and romance.
This book was able to successfully combine two of my favorite things criminology/serial killers and steamy romance and now I want so much more.
Not only does this book have an incredibly cute romance happening, but it also has a well-thought-out and developed plot and you can truly tell that the author knows what she talking about. If you are someone who loves romance in their books but still wants a well-done and addictive plot, then this is the book for you because it's got that
If you are the lover of Criminal Minds and/or Beauty and the Beast (CW TV Show) (It gives me the same vibes as that TV show, I mean.. you know, if it was for an older audience and Vincent was actually killing the people) then this might be the book for you.

The Duke and I by Julia Quinn

Overall:⭐⭐⭐/5
Romance:❤️❤️❤️/5
Spice: 🌶️/5
Tropes: Historical Romance and Fake Dating.
Content Warnings: Sexual Assault.
The Duke and I is the first book in the Bridgerton series by Julia Quinn. It is a historical romance that follows Daphne, who is in need of a husband, and Simon, who plans to never marry. When Simon proposes that he and Daphne pretend to form a courtship to give him a break from the endless stream of mothers- wanting to show off their eligible daughters- and to bring much-needed suitors to Daphne. Daphne not wanting to go another season without a husband agrees, unaware of how difficult it would be to keep her “courtship” with Simon platonic. Soon their feelings begin to grow way.
Let me start off this review by saying if are want to read this book because of how much you loved the TV show, please keep in mind that they are VERY different. In my opinion, they are almost completely different. Unlike the show, the book almost exclusively follows Daphne and Simon's relationship with little to no side plots with other characters. Most of the fan-favorite characters from the TV show only show up once or twice or not even at all (Eloise, Penelope, and Lady Danbury), and some don’t even exist (the queen). When going into this book I highly suggest going into it with an open mind and don’t expect it to be just like the tv show you know and love.
Personally, I didn’t love the relationship between Daphne and Simon in the TV show, I know I’m one of the very few to feel this way. I personally felt that in the show the relationship between Daphne and Simon felt very rushed and that they lacked chemistry and It made me kinda hesitant going into this book.
I was pleasantly surprised to find that was not the case, I actually really liked their relationship in the book. I found that the lack of outside characters and plotlines allowed for there to be a lot more scenes between Daphne and Simon, which in turn made it so there was a lot more chemistry and romance growth between the two of them.
Another aspect of this book that I was pleasantly surprised with was the relationship between Daphne and Colin. Out of all the brothers, Colin is the one who seems to be closest with Daphne, he was always there for her when she needed him. I could tell that he would do absolutely anything to make sure she was happy and I just absolutely ADORED their relationship.
Speaking of Colin, I absolutely loved him in this book. Every time he was on the page, I was laughing my ass off.
One thing I didn’t like about this book was the scene where Daphne quite literally sexually assaults Simon and then it's played off as though it's not a big deal. Yeah, I could have done without that scene.
Overall, this book was better than I expected it to be and I’m excited to continue reading the series
