This started with the two of them using each other to get back at her ex/his rival but soon enough she’s visiting his home and meeting his family.

His contract’s in jeopardy and he’s going to have to move away from DC and his family to keep supporting them.

A wonderful multi-POV Hockey Romance with a twist of fake dating and a whole heaping of catching feelings this is definitely not one to miss if you’re a fan of sports romances or fake dating novels.

It definitely has some spice too so if that’s your style, give it a go.

This was my first ARC and I struck absolute gold, I only picked it up this evening.

Thank you to LA Hart and the publishers for letting me read this before it comes out Feb 1st!

I love a multi-pov book and this mystery was no different. Seeing the same death and investigation from three different perspectives was wonderful.

DS George Cross is such an incredibly written example of someone with ASD and how they see the world. The second something doesn’t sit right in his head, he will investigate it until he’s sure he knows what happens. While these books are available on KU, I love listening to Finlay Robertson bring Tim Sullivan’s world to life.

When DS Cross meets the mother of Felicity “Flick” Wilson, who doesn’t believe that her daughter would kill herself, he agrees to take on the case. It isn’t out of pity, either, despite the fact that Sandra has been turned away and dismissed by other members of the force.

Cross isn’t the only person interested in the case, as he meets a resident of the care home is father is recieving respite care in, DCI Esther Moffat, with whom he forms a friendship.

I adore the way Cross forms friendships, especially with Esther and with Josie and Alice. I love the way no one makes him mask and he can just be himself with them.
