Meet Kitty Collins, vegan, instagram influencer, London girl through and through. She’s also an extremely skilled serial killer. She has her criteria though, they have to be a man and they have to deserve it.
She doesn’t mean to, not to begin with. It had been an accident. The guy had been following her, threatening her with a broken wine bottle. So, he deserved it.
The next guy deserved it, and the next... They ALL deserved it in Kitty’s mind. They were monsters and they had to die. And she has the perfect way to get away with it, when opportunity knocks, right?
Not only was this an incredible book, but as one I listened too, it was incredibly well read. Kitty is a hilarious character and Victoria Morrison finds her voice so well.
Not to mention book two is already out, this was such an easy 5 star read

When our FMC wakes up with no memory of the night before and a raging hangover, she is confused to find strangers in the street staring at her, colleagues being distant and her roommate is nowhere to be seen.
A video of her has gone viral, and it isn't one she's proud of. As if that wasn't bad enough, her roommate and best friend? She's dead in the bathtub.
The police are calling it an accident but she knows Posey isn't that careless, so now it's up to her to investigate the circumstances leading up to her friends death and now she must piece together the events of the night before.
This book was my first five star read of 2025 and probably the book that kept me wanting to pick up more books. It kept me so gripped that I read it in two sittings. It had the perfect levels of humour and mystery and was beautifully written.

The Dentist is the first book in which we meet DS George Cross, a Bristol Detective who has Aspergers. We learn his routine, how he looks at cases and how he never stops. When the Major Crime Unit (MCU) dismisses a case as a homeless on homeless crime, Cross isn't quite sure and won't take no for an answer. A homeless man has been murdered and yet his belongings are still with the body, surely if another member of the homeless community had killed him, they would have taken them, right?
George finds links to an old case, shoddily handled by a now retired member of the force. Why was it handled so badly and what does it have to do with the current case?
I found the reading of the audiobook a little slow, but nothing speeding up to 1.2x speed couldn't help with.
