O Violet! Way to prove even the disabled and most unlikely of people can be absolute badasses. I love the back and forth between her and Xaden. And damn Dain for being an overbearing, untrusting, asshole. I love Tairn and Andarna. And Liam!!! That was heartbreaking. Plus her dang brother.

Ari is such a good big sister. Despite dying she still does what she can to keep her brother safe. The Gods are definitely a bit out of practice with dealing with humans/new Valkyries. See Ari do everything she can to find Odin and keep her brother safe is fantastic. She surprises even the Gods themselves.

I love Lana so much. She is such a badass. And Logan does really good apologies. I can’t get over the end game that was dish out. And the Original Killer! Ugh I’m glad his death was slow and painful.

Damn Malina goes through absolute hell. Her will to survive is amazing. I love that her subconscious appears to her as her brother. I like that she questions things…even if she knows it’s dangerous to do so. But damn they are all so conditioned to blindly do as they are told it’s sad that most people live like this. Can’t wait to see the story unfold.

He deserves everything he got. What a horrible excuse for a human being. Thank you Lana for ridding the fictional world of him. I’m so glad she loved Logan enough to risk saving him and doesn’t get discovered. But damn it Logan you better learn to grovel. Stop fucking up so bad!

I love the way the friendship develops between Lana and Hadley. They are the unlikeliest friends but here we go. I’m glad Hadley took the time to try to understand and I’m glad Lana let her in. These are the types of friendships people need.

Look at Lana showing restraint and patience by not killing right away. Granted she dropped two bodies in a day but we are over looking that. She’s letting cops stay with her to help give Logan piece of mind….until he acts like an absolute dick. And she’s cleansing the world of a pedophile, just yes.

This book made me feel things that I did not want to feel. I knew going into it that it would trigger me, but damn I was not prepared for it to make my past slap me in the face. If you’ve ever been in similar situations you can tell that the book was written with personal experience and firsthand knowledge of these experiences. 
Even though I was reminded of my past, it was a bit healing. It reminded me that I am not alone and that I’ve overcome so much to get to where I am now. It highlights how important having just a few people supporting you in the right ways at the right time makes a huge difference. And from horrible experience you lean a lot about yourself and what you can survive, as well as eventually becoming aware of your self worth. 
This is a great book to read. But check your trigger warnings and know what you’re getting yourself into.
