This story follows Lucy, who dreams of becoming a chef and takes a summer job in the Hamptons. While there, she wants to expand her horizons and take on extra work. After a lavish night cooking for a new client, she receives an unexpected offer—a private chef position from her ex-boyfriend’s older brother. Lucy says she’ll think about it, but Callahan Hastings won’t take no for an answer.

This was a great character-driven, feel-good romance. I loved how, at the start, Lucy tried to avoid Callahan and genuinely debated whether accepting the job was a good idea. This led to Cal chasing her and constantly inserting himself into her space, trying to get an answer out of her. I enjoyed reading about her passion for cooking and how supportive Cal was—while still being firm and bossy when needed. The spice was just the right amount. I highly recommend picking up the audiobook, as the narrators are brilliant!

This story follows Lacey, a pediatrician, and her best friend, Shawn, a well-known head coach for the NFL’s DC Titans. Lacey decides to bring a date to one of the games, but during a break, the kiss cam catches them, leading to an uncomfortable moment. When Shawn looks up and sees Lacey, he decides to take matters into his own hands. Can these best friends turn into lovers?

What a fantastic read! These two characters are so much fun. The tension, chemistry, banter, and flirty behavior are perfection. The way they look at and truly see each other is beautiful. This was such a feel-good read about two close friends trying to understand and navigate their growing feelings for each other. The spice was delicious and intimate. I will say it’s more character-driven, but I honestly didn’t mind. I also recommend the audiobook if you’re thinking of picking it up!

This story follows Elianna, who has worked many nanny jobs while pursuing her psychology degree. She decides to take a year off from being a nanny to focus on her studies. But everything changes when she meets a bubbly six-year-old at a store who runs off on her uncle. Now, she’s interviewing for a position with a single dad of three kids. Will they both give in to temptation?

I really enjoyed this one, and the spice is always a good time when it comes to Q.B. Tyler’s work. I found Elianna to be quite mature in the conversations she had with Rowan, which made me love their connection even more. The kids were great and obviously adjusting to a big change that recently impacted them both at home and in school. As a single dad working a demanding job, Rowan is trying his best to be there for his kids but often feels like he’s falling short. When Elianna steps in—not just helping with the kids but also listening to him—it was really heartwarming.

That said, I felt the ending came too quickly, and I needed more to feel fully satisfied with their relationship and where their future was headed. Other than that, it’s a fantastic audiobook and story!

I won’t say too much as it’s the conclusion to the veiled kingdom series. I really enjoyed this final book and the conclusion to Dacre and Verena story. Be mindful of contents and themes in this one as it’s quite graphic. I absolutely loved the touch her and die vibes and the spice! Finally I have been waiting for them to get together and it was beautifully intimate. The plot and storyline for this series is fantastic. Also I would be keen for a Wren and Kai story!

Looking forward to more work by Holly!

This story follows Lottie, a house cleaner and waitress who works tirelessly to support her younger sister, Haley. Coming from a broken childhood and foster care, she is now navigating the courts to keep her sister safe and with her. Lottie works as a cleaner for the Duke, Oliver, a wealthy billionaire aristocrat who begins to notice her around the house. From her clumsiness to blushing in his presence, how will this rags-to-riches relationship bloom?

First off, I highly recommend the audiobook with duet narration. Zara and Shane are brilliant at bringing these characters to life.

Starting with Lottie—don’t get me wrong, I love strong, confident women in books—but in this scenario, she has a lot of depth and vulnerable characteristics. Lottie is clumsy, mixes up her words, and is on edge in the presence of the Duke due to the power dynamic and her hard-working nature, earning every cent to support her sister.

Oliver, the Duke, comes across as grumpy and protective, with a firm tone. However, if something happens to Lottie, he jumps right in to help or protect her. I appreciate the representation of mutism and autism in the book. It’s a very enjoyable read with a great storyline and plot.

I will say I struggled with Margo’s storyline, as it confused me—she shifts from being lovely to turning on her, but then everything is in the past when she helps her daughter earn a lot of money and fully supports the fake arrangement. Overall, though, I’m looking forward to more work by Susie Tate.

This story follows Lulu and Rafe. Lulu moves to a small town for three months to escape the spotlight—and her famous ex-boyfriend. Arriving earlier than planned, she has an unexpected first encounter with Rafe, a local bachelor. The two instantly clash, getting under each other’s skin at every turn. But with upcoming events forcing them to work together, will they be able to resist the growing tension between them?

This was such a fun read—my first by Laura, but definitely not my last. I highly recommend the audiobook; it was a joy to listen to, and the narrators were fantastic.

I absolutely loved the FMC, Lulu—what a fun, flirty, and feisty character. She had me laughing from the start. I also loved how Rafe gave her a run for her money, pushing back and matching her energy in a grumpy kind of way. Their chemistry was brilliant and loved them together.

I do have a couple of things I want to mention. The drag out of the arrangement, being friends with benifits and not fall in love with each other  —I just wanted to scream at them to hurry up and confess their feelings! When it finally happened in the last 10%, it was satisfying but a little overdue. Also, while I enjoyed the spice, I found myself wanting more or for the scenes to last longer. This is the first time I’ve felt that way about a book, which surprised me!

Overall, a fantastic, feel-good romance that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Diving straight into this review—if you’ve read Catherine’s work, you know she writes a lot of small-town suspense romances. The last twelve books I’ve read by this author have followed this pattern, with similar ways of revealing who is responsible or behind the attacks. As I’ve mentioned in many of my reviews, I would not want to be a woman in these small-town romances because they are always the target.

I have to be honest—I feel like maybe I wasn’t in the right headspace while reading this one. Don’t get me wrong, I love Catherine’s work, but I don’t know if I’m burning out from the same book setup every time, just with different execution. I will say I love how the FMC was a strong character this time that really stood out.

But I didn’t find myself invested in this storyline or its characters. There were some beautiful moments, great spice, and strong family dynamics, but I really struggled this time with seeing the same patterns play out. I’ve also become frustrated with the reveal of who is behind the attacks. Every time, it’s someone you don’t see coming—usually not even a standout character in the story—which leaves me feeling deflated and frustrated when it’s revealed. This has happened many times in other books I’ve read from Catherine.

That said, this is all personal preference and a “me” problem, so read if you wish. I do recommend the audiobook, though—it was fantastic.

I guess I just want to see something different from Catherine.

“Trouble is my weakness.”

Absolutely brilliant. Five stars. Everything in this book aligns with my reading style and what I love—captivating, emotional, raw, intimate, and beautifully sexy. A rollercoaster of a story with two characters battling their own demons, clinging to each other like a lifeline—two hurting souls who mend as one. Hands down, one of my favorite audiobooks. Jacob and Mollie absolutely nailed this duet-style narration, so if you pick it up, make sure it’s in this format. It’s incredible.

Starting with character depth—because I loved these two so much. When they got emotional, I felt it in my heart. When they shared intimate, beautiful moments, I smiled. And when you could feel the weight of their burdens, I felt that weight too. The chemistry and tension were delicious. Claire was a firestorm stepping into Jonah’s life, making him feel again, while Jonah saw straight through the brick wall Claire put up. These two are perfection.

One of my favorite things in a romance is a fiery love—where yelling and screaming at each other is the only way to get the message across—and this book delivered. With themes of substance abuse and an eating disorder, the story had me completely invested. At times I was shocked with revelations to smiling in the last 20%. Please, just listen to or read this book—I don’t want to give too much away but don’t sit on this book.

This follows Archer Holland, who lives with his best friend, Brogan. Recently, Brogan discovered he has a sister and is determined to get to know her. But what happens when he invites her to live with them? Archer doesn’t trust her, believing she could leave at any moment. Can they get along?

This was such a feel-good read with great audiobook narrators, so make sure you pick it up in audio format!

First off, I really enjoyed the hearing impairment and asthmatic representation in this story—it adds depth to the characters, and I truly appreciate it. The tension at the start was delicious, and when Archer finally gave in to temptation and stopped being so grumpy toward Sabrina, it was so much fun.

I love Sabrina for her efforts to connect with her brother and get to know him, as well as for chasing her dreams despite a few challenges along the way. The way she handles Archers hearing impairment made my heart swell.

This was a great storyline that leans more toward being character-driven. I’m looking forward to more of Rebecca’s work!

This follows Nash Sinclair and Bexley. For the past three years, after an accident in the F1 series, Nash has been racing in the OWC league. But an opportunity arises when he is approached by the Titan F1 team to fill a seat. At first, he is hesitant—but what does he have to lose? Especially now that he will be working alongside his ex-fiancée, an impressive strategy engineer.

This was a great, quick, and easy audiobook to listen to—especially as I’m heading to the Australian GP next week! Perfect timing for its release.

At the start, we got an enemies-to-lovers vibe between them, and you could feel the tension. I also enjoyed the flashbacks to the accident and how it affected Nash—they added depth and emotion that I loved.

Bexley is doing everything she can to prove herself in a male-dominated sport, and she finally gets the opportunity to do something she loves and is passionate about. Despite the challenges ahead, I loved her representation.

I’m glad these two found their way back to each other.
