The audiobook has amazing narration but this version feels like it's missing some of of the mystery that the physical books have (as well as some text in opt of the characters talking). More as a play, this was fun to listen to.

Good closed door mystery and loved the chapters from different characters to get different perspective. Often I did get confused though about who was talking and when things were happening. Characters would often slip into a memory during their inner dialogue and it was hard to tell when things were happening in the present.

While the mystery itself is another closed room classic, some of the narration was jarring. No doubt originating from the next itself, some of the voices of the Egyptian children were racist, almost caricatures of the Middle East. While the novel is very much a product of it's time, the choices the narrator made were more recent and are harder to excuse.

Story was good, always enjoy the visuals. But I'm starting to loose track of all the characters. While at first I thought the side stories weren't impactful, it was nice to see how the multiple threads came together. It did feel rushed at the end, trying up all the loose ends.
