His Prince by Cora Rose
5.0
CORA DOES MAFIA BEAUTIFULLY! The way she incorporates humor with dark romance will always have me hooked. I have been waiting for Angel’s book since meeting him and I was not disappointed besides never wanting to stop reading his book. I’m in love with the way Angel cares for the people around him. He is a ray of sunshine that I miss already. Please read this series!
Restore Me by J.L. Seegars

Sloane and Dom had me captivated from the beginning. I was a little nervous knowing that they knew each other for 12 years prior to the timeline of this book because Dom was like a brother to Sloane’s late husband. And I was a little nervous for that dynamic because I’ve never read this author before but I had nothing to worry about. This was beautiful. The way these characters are written makes you feel every emotion alongside them. I found myself anxious and sad and angry and hurting as they were. The grief and trauma in this book was a rare example of real experiences from books I’ve read in the past. This is heavy but so beautiful.
My Lovely Tragedy by Marie Ann

Tobias and Brooklyn irrevocably changed me. I just finished this and I was going to wait to write out my review but I don’t think I could sit down and truly express what I thought of this book if I waited. I knew going into this that it wasn’t a romance. There was no happy ending but I took a chance on a story that ripped out my heart. I choked on tears multiple times and was left in a confusing suspense trying to figure out where the story would go next. Brooklyn deserves the world and I hope he’s okay. I’m in love with this two and wish I could hold them both and give them a happy ending they were never meant to have even if they both deserved it.
Insane Obsession by Lola Malone

OBSESSED doesn’t even describe how much I loved this. It was spooky and had me invested from the first chapter. Finn was adorable and I loved how obsessed the other MMCs were with him. I cannot wait for Lola to write more stories like this with this kind of relationship dynamic. It was spicy and sweet at the same time.
Make the Season Bright by Ashley Herring Blake

This was a short audio and was cute for Christmas. I kept getting hung up on the relationship dynamic of being left at the alter and having a second chance years later. If someone left me at the alter and didn’t have a conversation where there was actual honest communication, there’s no way I’d get back with them. I kept thinking that through the audio and it’s the only reason I didn’t enjoy this as much as I wanted to.
Blood & Brujas by Mikayla D. Hornedo

Wow…I loved this and the wild ride it took me on. I did a buddy read with this book and had so much fun coming up with theories and seeing what we both thought as we read. I loved the world building and how much of a badass Daya was. I have so many questions and cannot wait to see what happens with these characters in the next book. I would have loved more relationship development because I am not fully invested in them as of right now. I’m excited to see where the relationships go in the next book, but I was hoping for more from this book in that aspect.

I love small town romances written by Nicole. This was short and sweet and everything I needed in a romance. I loved getting to see Oakley and Trav in this series and can’t wait for the rest!
The Christmas Switch by Briar Prescott

Josh and Gabriel were adorable! Freaky Friday meets queer Christmas romance and I am obsessed with Briar’s take on this kind of story and the relationship dynamic. I wish this was longer. I loved the slow burn and getting to see these characters grow and show up for each other. I am a sucker for domestic moments and getting to see characters in love so I’m always going to want more of that, especially toward the end of the book. If you want sweet Christmas magic in your romances this holiday season, check this one out.
Free Fall by Sara Cate

This was one of the better MMF relationship dynamics I’ve read. I get nervous reading those kinds of relationships because there usually is a more established couple that leaves the third person out. This was a balanced dynamic despite history between the MMCs. I enjoyed this as my first Sara Cate book and I look forward to reading more from her.
Cruel Paradise by J.T. Geissinger

This was my favorite out of the duet. If you like mafia, then this might be worth checking out. It was not my favorite mafia but it was okay. I was really hoping to love it so I’m more disappointed in that than the actual story.
