This has such an important message about mental heath when it comes to burnout, parental expectations, self expectations, when to ask for help and how you can lean on others for support. All of that was amazing to read and was very relatable. However, the romance felt lackluster and insta-lovey. I don’t care how care free someone is, no one is okay with getting married in Vegas and wouldn’t just accept it without questions.

This has some of the most creative short stories I’ve ever heard. Not only are they creepy and unique, they reflect today’s society by pointing out the truest horrors of the world we currently live in.

Love love love the messaging behind this book. Where it lost me a bit was that some parts were very tense and gory, but some were over too quickly The ending also felt so easy compared to the situation they were in.

This started out fun, but went down hill in the second half of the book. Ford literally has no redeeming qualities after messing with Corrie’s career for 10 years.  While Corrie started off interesting, but started feel flat half way through. Also for an adventure book, it’s kinda boring and very much on the nose when it came to the romance plot line

One of the main things I love about this story is the description of everything happening in a scene. It felt like I was there with the main characters and seeing exactly the same thing they were. Not only is it beautifully told, but the romance plot line definitely added to the story, feeling bad for both characters, but understanding why they were acting in certain ways. Lastly, these vampires are insane! I’ve never seen vampires described in this way before and it almost adds a bit of realism to creatures. Very creepy, very romantic, and so interesting that i didn’t want to put the book down!
