Sweet Obsession by Katee Robert

This was the pairing that I needed π₯Ή. This picked up right where Dark Restraint left off and I love when books do that. No gaps in between let's just keep the story rolling.
Things are heating up with the impending war and with the captive Poseidon has. Oh no however shall they pass the time?? They really both just needed each other and they deserved the love and all the feels and it just makes my heart melt a little bit. I feel like Icarus was a bit more openly flawed than some of the characters we've seen in the past and I really liked that about him.
I do kind of feel that with so much overarching plot a couple of things got lost. I would have liked it to go further into the emotions of the relationship itself. We did get a fair amount but I just wanted more. I tend to feel that way though with more plot heavy romance books.

I really liked seeing more of Aphrodite in this one. She's one of my top characters so I've been waiting for this π. She definitely stole the show for me.
I do with this was a little longer. With all the povs and everything going on it felt like we didn't get enough detail to be really engaged the entire way.

I really really liked this. Prominent man marries abused fmc for his own selfish reasons but they end up developing feelings and he technically saves her? I will always eat that up.
We didn't get a lot of background info on the people, families, or the world but with the way it's set up I feel like we will get all of that in the upcoming books.

This was really fun. I started giggling on page two and I really didn't stop the whole time. Luka is so rude but he means so well you can't help but love him π

I'm so glad I got the arc of this because I just couldn't wait to read it any longer. I needed it in my brain.
To no one's surprise I freaking flew through this. I'm obsessed with the other two books in this series so I knew I was going to like it but I didn't know how much I was going to freaking love it.
Beau deserves every good thing in this world. Yeah he's a little unhinged and an INSANE flirt but he still deserves everything. He was my absolute favorite. He was just so sad and broken and wanted love π. Who better to give it than Indie??
Ram is your charming and sweet with a heavy dominant side that you don't expect and Tripp completes the trio nicely with his I'm an asshole but secretly I want you so bad. No crumbs.
Indie was π€π»π€π»π€π». I love that this series has such a diverse cast and all the fmcs are completely different. Indie is an independent take no shit girlie who tries to be immune to the boys charms. Key word: tries. Even a badass such as herself cannot resist π.
Which brings me to the β¨spiceβ¨. Yall this one will make you blush. The scenes are plentiful and will really get your imagination going. The spice be spicing.
I will of course be waiting oh so patiently (not) for the next one.

I'm absolutely obsessed with Cassandra and everyone who is mean to her can go jump off a cliff π.
I feel like this one was less focused on the relationship and more focused on the overarching plot. It definitely set the stage for the next couple books and I'm excited to see where it goes.

I'm not super sure how I feel on all the guys yet except for Axel. He's unhinged as heck and exactly my type: walking red flag. I hope Ember eats them all alive like the queen she is.

This was so freaking CUTE. Like giggle kick your feet worthy. Ugh these guys were just amazing.
Dair was my favorite. We love when a man goes from a jerk to "mine" in a single chapter. It just makes my little heart happy. He becomes a jerk for her instead of to her and that's him working on himself.
Bast was my golden retriever. He's just so sweet and happy and nice to everyone. He tried to make friends with Ivy before he even knew she was theirs and just ugh swoon. Ash was super sweet, too. He was kind of my middle of the road guy. He could be sweet, he could be a jerk, but he was always absolutely devoted to Ivy.
Ivy deserves nothing but good things in her life and honestly it's not up for debate. She's perfect, talks to and freaking names animals, and just cares about everyone and everything.
It did get a little spice heavy for me towards the end but that's probably because I was so invested in the plot itself.
