As always, I hated the characters. Like, none of them would have been my friends in real life. That’s the annoying thing with a lot of thrillers that I read: I don’t like the characters. They’re all bad. Anyway, for the story part, it was great, as always. And the twistS at the end??? I felt like I was being attacked by them! Falling out of the sky they were! So, liked reading the book, but the fact that the characters weren’t lovable didn’t help.

« Maybe it wasn’t anyone’s fault. Maybe people just like to blame others for someone’s death because it makes it easier to deal with when they can be mad at someone. Maybe the only thing to blame for suicide is depression. »

I’m in need of short stories these days to finish my reading challenge, so this book was what I was searching for. I think it’s a great way to aboard the subject, and even if it’s not what I was searching, I think it would have been better if it was longer. The writing style also felt middle school, which I liked less. Otherwise, the subject was great.

After liking the first book, I didn’t have another choice but to read the second one! Where I found the first one to be comical but lacking in storytelling, this one accounted for! It was easier to follow the plot of the story AND it was comical too! May I say, I loved Alexis and need to read more about this hilarious and feminist sword. Actually, the bit where all the women just laugh at the men was my favorite, I need more please. I’ll definitely be reading the third one!

Had a bit of difficulty to get into it, mostly because after such a cozy read, it was harsh to go from that to a more adventurous one. Loved to see Viv discovered coffee and to see a bit of her life before the legends & latte

This was the perfect exemple of a cozy book. I could have continue to read endlessly!! Well, that is until the last 50ish pages, when my heart IMPLODED!!! Otherwise, I loved it, I devored it and cannot wait to read the second one!! Never read a book with this much fantasy, but I loved every second of it. I recommend it!!!!

Was a good read. Liked the plot and the alternance between the past and the present! The ending was a bit deceiving in its lack of twist. Otherwise, I liked reading it and did it in one sitting!

oh my gawd, I can’t believe how, after reading loads of thrillers, I didn’t see the twist coming! How humiliating! So I’ll put that on the talent of the author!! The story was well written, not too rushed, which I appreciated! Iris annoyed me a lot, always complaining about the grief of her husband, and then it was Gabriel’s turn. The characters were well written, the plot too! It was a great book and I will certainly read more of this author!

I loved the comedic aspect of the book! I giggled, laughed and rolled my eyes a couple of times! It was a much needed comedic relief in a dark time. Unfortunately, I found the storytelling rushed. Everything was happening all at once and was so easy for the characters it felt fake. I had a hard time following the action of the story. It was definitely spicier than I thought, I felt like reading a fanfiction hihi. Anyway, I still enjoyed reading it, but more for the characters and their comedy than for the story!

I only wanted to do one thing while reading this books: give a big hug to Emily. The author described really well the teenage mind, and the way addiction, anxiety, SA and everything is described is so on point! I really appreciated reading the book, I couldn’t wait to know every details!! The pace is really good, although impatient as I am I couldn’t wait to just know how it ended!!! I truly loved how each subject was addressed and lived a roller coaster of emotions from the beginning to the very end!! Will definitely read more of this author!

Leah wakes up after a sleepover to find the other beds… empty. Where are her three friends? What happened to them, and why is Leah the only one still here? Nearly twenty-five years after THE sleepover, a new documentary is in the making and Leah is not sure what to think about that. Just to add to the anniversary coming, Leah is receiving blackmail from someone who seems to know the truth…

It’s the first book I’m reading from Wilkinson, and I have to say I am positively surprised! It was well written and, unlike with other thrillers, I didn’t hate the characters!! I mean, it’s a thriller like the others, and I mean by that that there’s the stereotypical things the protagonist is hiding, and someone else knowing while blackmailing them. But even if that part was predictable, it didn’t stopped it being enjoyable to read and I couldn’t wait to turn the page, to read the other line, the other paragraph, the other chapter.
I’m so happy to know that this book will have a sequel, I cannot wait!!!

<SPOILER>Now, I hated the end. The two last chapters to be exact. I will just gaslight me to think it never happened hihihi, I liked the protagonist way too much.
