The story was amazing and it definitely had me hooked. It's the kind of story that is hard to let go of. The characters were intriguing but sometimes I felt like the main character didn't act the way she was described (or described herself). There were also a lot of word repetitions and phrases that just kept being used which bothered me.

in most books etc with vampires we really just get a few years (usually the first) of the story and you don't really get to experience the whole of immortality yk. so i like how in this book we really get to go through centuries and constante also describes how it's like seeing the world around you change.
i also really liked how this book didn't romanticise vampires, it's okay if a book does but for me it was just nice to read something different.

It was so interesting reading about Scandinavian history and the witch trials there. You could tell that the author did a lot of research and that's one thing I love in historical fiction.

I like how the ending first broke your heart but then we got some wholesome stuff to make up for it so you still went out feeling nice.
