Love the time jump. Love/hate seeing this space family split up because James Holden has to do The Right Thing.
I thought I was over time travel as a genre. I was wrong -- this was beautiful and sweet and just woo enough.
Abercrombie just keeps getting better (I think). His characters are deeper, he's better at balancing humor and warmth with death, greed, and cowardice, and his women are 3-dimensonal.
