Anna's life isn't going the way she thought it would go. Her parents are fighting. Her sister isn't talking to her anymore. The reservation is being taken over by a casino. Then things take a turn for the worse when young Native Girls start to go missing. Can Anna solve the mystery before these girls go missing forever?

This book was amazing. All of the characters were fleshed out and had their own hopes and desires. Anna was especially well written, trying to figure out who she was along with trying to figure out what happened to these missing girls.

The setting was also amazingly done. The divide between the town and the reservation was palpable. The whole land seemed to come alive.

My only gripe with this book is towards the end of the book. It felt slightly rushed, like the author wasn't sure how to arrive at the ending. There was also a bit at the end that I didn't understand if it was supposed to be a metaphor or magical realism.

Besides that, this book was really amazing and I think that everyone should give it a read.

When Mars' sister dies in a freak accident, he is determined to find her wherever he can. Even if it means going back to the camp that he hadn't gone to in years. Maybe Aspen is different now or maybe there is something even more sinister lying just beneath.

I thought that Mars, our main character, was really interesting. Especially with him being genderfluid but the author using he/him pronouns throughout the whole book. His relationship with his sister is really fleshed out. However, I think that some of the things that Mars does are kind of unbelievable for someone who has been through so much trauma, especially recently.

The other characters seemed more like background characters, with our main character's love interest the only other character that really gets any characterization. I didn't really enjoy that, especially with The Honeys, the group that the book is named after, they all seemed like the same person maybe with different appearances. They weren't at all distinct even the ones who were supposed to be. The same with all of the boys, except the love interest. They all seem to be the same character in a slightly different font.

The plot was really good at the beginning, with it being a mystery that Mars is trying to solve along with him trying to overcome his grief. Then it falls apart towards the end of the book. At certain times, Mars feels like an unreliable narrator because he seems to know less than the reader. Which wouldn't be a bad thing if Mars hadn't learned these things throughout the book as well. Because of this, the magic system felt very loose and unexplained throughout the book.

I think that the highlight of this book is the characters and the setting. If you are looking for a ya horror book that veers into speculative fiction, then this book is for you.

A human man raised on Mars returns to Earth. But he can do things that typical humans cannot and he has no concept of human culture. Will he be able to learn before the world takes him out?

Overall, I really liked this book. The characters were interesting, the culture of Mars was really interesting, and the religion in this book was also interestingly done.

To split the book in half, I thought that the first half of the book was five stars. The discussion of society and how the Man from Mars is learning how to be human were both done really well. Heinlein really goes into depth about how human culture would be difficult to learn if you are not human. This section of the book was really really interesting and I think was super well written.

Now onto the other half. This was about three stars. This section of the book deals a lot with religion. I felt conflicted about how that was dealt with, especially with how the women were treated. I understand when this book was written, it just felt like a switch between the first half of the book and the second half of the book.

Overall, it was really interesting and well-written.

Constanta always thought that her husband would only love her. Always and forever. But people who live forever don't typically only choose one person.

This book is a retelling of Dracula's Brides story. The characterization in this story is really amazing. All of the characters felt like real people with real problems. The way that this story was written was also super interesting with what the narrator reveals to us and what she does not. The characters travel to several different places but each place is lovingly detailed. Honestly, this book was just so good.

Check the trigger warnings first but definitely give this one a read.

Nick wakes up from a three-year coma to a world that is completely changed. Everyone thinks that Nick is the only one but when word comes out that there are three other survivors, Nick has to find them. Because they may be the only people able to stop the end of the world.

This book felt like it should have been multiple books instead of just one. The author tried to pack so many different things into the plot that lots of points just got lost. There was also a romance that I felt was just romance for the sake of romance. There really wasn't any chemistry between the two characters. The main idea behind that novel was insanely interesting but it wasn't really explained or explored that much.

Overall, it was kind of disappointing.
