This book was a really good sequel. I love the important topics that are discussed in this book in a way that is actually really interesting. The characters feel very human and so do their actions. The continuation of the world-building is super interesting. Though part of this book made me cry I cannot wait to read the rest of the series.

This book was really interesting. The narrator is unreliable which is an interesting point of view to read from. However, I really didn't like any of the characters. The main character seemed very flat, it really didn't seem like she learned anything about how she reacts to things. None of the other characters seemed to have any more depth than their main character traits. The story was really interesting but I thought that there was a bit to many twists. Overall, it was a really good thriller but I feel like as a book it maybe wasn't the best.

This book was intense. I don't usually read thrillers but I decided to pick this one up. It was amazing. The characters were really interesting. The conflict was amazing. The action was superb. Everything felt like it made sense within the confines of the story. It is one of the best thrillers that I read. If you enjoy thrillers or are looking for a thriller to get into the genre, definitely give this one a read.

I really enjoyed the first half and last 100 pages of this book. The rest of the book is really taken up by a trope that I really don't like. Yaga seems to not care about anything anymore except for her family while the whole book she had been fighting for Russia. The end of the book made it better but that section really just didn't work for me. The characters were interesting, the magic system was interesting, and the mythology was interesting. I just didn't totally vibe with it. Overall, it was just okay.

I really enjoy dystopian books and I would classify this as one of them. This book was very interesting. The characters are extremely compelling and the world-building was amazing. I didn't totally enjoy the narrator because he was a teenage boy but it was written from a teenage boy's perspective. I cannot wait to read the rest of the series.

I thought that this book was very slow to start. It does end up picking up at around the two-thirds mark. The characters are really interesting and the twist did surprise me. The setting was super interesting and well-written. Overall it wasn't my favorite but pretty good.

This is a great sequel to Renegades. The characters get so much more interesting and deep. I love the questions that this book asks about the world and about people. All wrapped up in a really interesting superhero shell. Definitely give this series a read.
