I’ve never really been a fan of dark romances but this book definitely made me change my mind! Maybe because we’re in Fall or close to Halloween, but I loved this book! The mystery behind Dane’s character and if he really was the responsible for his wife’s death, who or what is haunting Remi’s newly inherited home, and I just couldn’t put a finger on Remi’s brother, Jude. Such an awesome contemporary dark romance and a real page turner, especially during spooky szn

when a book makes me cry in the best way, I know it was a good one! and I surely didn’t expect Hero to be as good as it was! full of emotion, trauma healing, love and lust, Hero was the definition of a second chance at love / love at first sight romance. knowing that colby fell in love with lydia so quickly, but waited somewhat patiently for her to heal was heart warmingly amazing. it makes you fall in love with him too! and watching their romance blossom into what colby always imagine for himself was just perfection.

hate to be the one, but this book just did not do it for me. it fell so flat, and I had such high hopes. after seeing so many great reviews, I really wanted to enjoy this one. and I got as far as reading majority of it but I just couldn’t make it through the last 10% of this book.

what I did like where the characters. you get to know the Blue sisters so well throughout the book because there were multiple povs, which I did enjoy. their individual characters were so strong and have been through so much.

now what I didn’t like - the book was SOOO slow. the entire book was very drawn out, and I really wish there was something deeper. even though the characters were so strong and had so much trauma, history and present trials, the book still felt flat.

These books just keep getting better and better. And I love the different topics and representations they bring.

The highest bidder was an age gap (silver fox), but there was also some health complication reps as well as family and child loss. It felt like a shorter read but still so intriguing.

I wanted to love this one just as much as grimstone but it just fell a little flat. don’t get me wrong, I did enjoy the story line and the level of darkness, but it just wasn’t as captivating as I expected it to be.

of course atlas was my fav

was super excited to read this one for Fall, but honestly it was a little confusing. as someone that’s still stepping her toes into dark fantasy-esque reads, I found the haunting aspect a little confusing to follow. and that confusion kind of dimmed my excitement

even with that, the mysterious characters, the cultural aspects and the haunted aspects were interesting and kept me reading. francis was probably my fav character! but unfortunately this book wasn’t a hit for me.

let me just start off by saying what I thought was going to be a cute holiday romcom took a serious turn! but in all the best ways. think holiday romcom mixed in with scavenger hunt suspense. safe to say I absolutely enjoyed reading this book! not to mention it’s a shorter read and is so full of plot twists that keep you on your toes.
