Eli is now one of my book boyfriends. Love love love a “he falls first” romance. Rue deserved to feel the love she got from Eli. Literally so cute and the spice was *chef’s kiss*. They definitely didn’t dethrone Olive and Adam but I liked them. I liked that their story showed them sharing parts of themselves without judgement between them. Which also lead to some conversations about things like Eli’s ex-fiancée. I know talking about exes can ick so many people out but I think with the way it was done, from a place of honesty and acknowledgment, I didn’t mind. It wasn’t Eli being clearly hung up on her. Plus, Rue got to ask all the questions without being made to feel weird about being curious about his past.

An entertaining read. The pace is fast enough that it doesn’t feel like the book is as long as it is.

It’s a chaotic, fun, and spicy holiday read. The spice is like 3.5/5. Ryder is delusional and sweet. Dakota is wild and caring with an insane family to exceed her vibe.

Such a cute and quick holiday read. It’s been my fave holiday read this season.
