This book had so much potential. I loved the whole Vampire Hunger Games vibes. It was interesting. What made it fall apart for me was Oraya, our FMC, and her father, Vincent.

Yes, I get she's a human in a vampire world, but I felt like she mentioned it in every other thought. It wasn't until she was away from her father, Vincent, that I started to like her. I do love how badass she was. The ultimate underdog!

Raihn really held this story together for me. He was sexy, deadly, and hilarious. But most importantly, he was the one who pushed Oraya. He challenged her and made her see the world a little differently.

The twists I saw coming. They weren't bad, though. The writing was alright. The plot definitely picked up after about 40%. I just wanted more.

It's an enjoyable read. I had a great time!

I was so looking forward to this book. I loved Divine Rivals. I even loved the beginning of this book. The story was interesting but slowly started to fall flat. The romance was next to nothing which sucks.

I also felt like Iris and Roman became secondary characters. The bigger story being between Enva and Darce. While it was interesting, it felt strangely out of place.

Maybe it's just me though.

I did enjoy this book, even if it seems like I didn't. I just wanted the same magic that DR had. Still a good read though.

I love love love love this book!

I didn't know I needed a dark romantic comedy about two serial unalivers in a deadly competition. Now I need more!

Sloane is a brilliant young woman known as the Orb Weaver due to her method. She also suffers from some issues that Rowan helps her overcome.

Roman, known as the Butcher, is sexy, hilarious with a darkness I loved. He will do anything to protect his woman and that is no joke!

The smut in this book is chefs' kiss! Another book that tested my reading poker face 😏

The story itself had me begging for more. Please check the trigger warnings! They are there for a reason!

Overall, one of my favorite books of the year.

I loved this book. It seriously got me out of my reading slump.

I love the idea of two people falling in love while writing letters, so adorable and sweet. Not only was it sweet, but watching them grow was beautiful.

Iris and Roman were a delight to get to know. I love Iris's journey of self. She learns about her life, her fears and what she truly wants. Roman seemed like the typical arrogant upper class young man. Yet he was much more than than. The banter was top tier and their relationship perfection.

The lore was unique and I need to know more. The God's war and its effects was a nice touch too. My heart broke as we traveled into the front lines and saw just how terrible war can be.

The cliffhanger has me clamoring for more! I need to read Ruthless Vow asap!

First of all, I loved this book! I love the Cresent City world and characters!. Yes some of them made me want smack some sense into them 😆 Yes its more of plot driven story than a character one, but I still enjoyed getting into the heads of so many people.

Second I will admit that there were so wild POV changes that gave me whiplash as well as some pacing issues. However they weren't enough to bother my experience. I honesty was a bundle of anxiety most of the time, which I hadn't felt in a long time! Also there were some great WTF moments I still think about! It's a rollercoaster!

Lastly I was satisfied with how things played out (trying to keep it as spoiler free as I can). Sure things could have been different, but for me the choices made by Sarah, made sense for the world and characters. I know many won't be happy and disappointed but for me, I was happy!

I ask if you read this book, please go in with an open mind. It may not be what you hoped for but please don't hate on those who enjoyed it!

For those who don't know, I'm a causal gamer. I love the Fallout games, as well as other RPGS. So when I needed something to read while waiting for CC3, I decided to pick this up.

This prequel comic takes place a few days before the start of the game. We see some familiar places and characters that help expand the world.

I loved it! It's a great setup for new and old players. We get more insight into the mind of Benny and just how ruthless he can be.

The art is beautiful and I found myself staring at the pages just to admire the details!

If you love Fallout New Vegas, check this out!

It's been a hot minute since I read the last book. I intended to read it back when it was published but my TBR has a mind of its own and it got lost in the black hole. But I finally got the chance to read it and I'm glad I did.

Layla is a great FMC. She's nerdy with a little touch of obsessed. But also has a little self esteem issues. I mean same girl. I related to her more than I thought and was proud of the journey she went on.

Our MMC Arne is another great Alessa MMC! Who doesn't love a possessive Alpha male?!

The overall pace was quick, which made some parts too short and others too long. But it wasn't a deal breaker. The smut was great as always and the story satisfying.

If your like me and enjoy the Fae Universe Alessa created, go ahead and pick this up!

I had the privilege of winning a signed copy of this book, thanks to @farofeb.

This was such a unique read. A story of a women blinded by magic and given something in exchange.

There is a great mystery as to who and why they blinded Josyn. As the plot unfolds we she that there is much more to Jos than meets the eye (sorry for the pun 😄)

The romance and tension between her and Aevin was a nice touch. Aevin and Jos had been friends since childhood and is her brother's best friend. After some time and hurt they are forced back together. It's a slow burn but worth it.

Aevin was a great MMC. Yes he was incharge of keeping her safe but he never made her feel less than, just bc of her blindness. Something I really appreciated.

All in all the story was great, the pace was good, and the characters were interesting. I really enjoyed this book

A Lady of Truth @jenlynning

A great little novella with great characters.

I loved how bold Eleya is. She knows what she wants and isn't afraid to get it (or him 😏). Dmir is just a sweetheart who cares about his people. Together they are a powerhouse!

The world and magic system are so interesting! I know I only scratched the surface smd I can't wait to learn more.
