The first half of the book is 2 stars and the second half is 4 stars to average 3. It’s as if half way the authors realized they had to have a plot to go anywhere. They often sacrificed world building in order to have beautifully written sentences that are beautiful, yes, but not very helpful to the reader. It was often difficult to differentiate between the two characters as they didn’t have much personality beyond the flowery language. I really wish there had been more back story and world building. Interesting concept just not fully fleshed out.
