Before I dive into spoilers, this 3rd installment of Crescent City was no short of beautifully flawed characters that prove time and time again that "through love, all is possible."

Okay let's start in the beginning because that's where shit hit the fan during CC #2. Thank Cthona that Hunt, Ruhn, and Baxian made it out safely albeit bloodied up and minus one hand (was anyone else disgusted during that scene? Lol)

Let's talk about Bryce's brief moment in Prythian, specifically The Prison. I knew she and Nesta would get along (besides the whole betrayal thing that Bryce did in the cave). Not going to lie, after 100 pages in, I was already tired of Bryce in those tunnels with Nesta and Azriel. I wanted to know what the hell was going on. However, that fight was worth it, and didn't think she would be back in Midgard so soon. I wish I saw more of the Night Court gang a little longer. I did appreciate seeing my big himbo cutie Cassian again towards the end.

Now back in Midgard, so, SO much shit went down that honestly could've been cut. Some of the chapters barely had any dialogue and others would but its be two pages long. Okay so let's get Tharion and Ithan out of the way first because there were times that they would piss me off to no end. I get that the guilt they so heavily carried made them do these crass decisions but holy shit did it irk the hell outta me lmao. They're both cuties that, in the end, got to where they are but damn did they take the longest and hardest road to get there! Hopefully, Ithan gets to settle with Perry soon. Poor guy can't catch a break.

And I know Bryce was just as irked too because she couldn't even look at Tharion after jumping out of the Depth Charger! Speaking of my red-headed badass, she is a force to be reckoned with and proves it time and time again with her quick wittiness and staying two steps ahead of everyone she comes across. Poor Hunt can't even catch up with her half the time. I knew Hunt didn't even want to do all this, because of the last battle he had with the Asteri and the fear of losing Bryce. Bryce knew this too, but I kinda felt like she pushed him a bit, hence their fight in the tunnel. In the end, together they saved the world once again and got to have kinky office sex that I can't wait for.

This is where I kinda say I wish I had the extra scenes with Ruhn and Lidia because my God were they the best couple here. Ruhn's compassion towards Lidia was nothing short of love and admiration, and Lidia, despite everything she put on the line, made space for her heart for someone who saw her. I love Lidia's character, simply because she knew exactly what needed to be done to make the world a better place for her sons and never lost her way. The next book needs more Ruhn and Lidia sexy time and bonding with her kids because I know Ruhn will be a great dad (and maybe a few of their own fingers crossed).

With the rest of the gang, I know it's not the end for them and that the next installment wont be 820+ pages long. We get Sarah, you can write thick books. Let's save some trees, yeah?
