3.5/4 outta 5.
It's a good read, for the most part. The slow burn made up for the kinda lack luster plot.

At first, I was so frustrated with the way it ended and almost gave it a one star, lol. But after reading a second time, I understand the meaning of the unexplained mysteries.

Talk about an emotional rollercoaster. A classic "my brother's best friend, who happens to be troubled."
I get the idea that love is blind, but I wished that Tate would have stood up to Miles more.

Miles POV was weird at first, especially with all the repetition. Doesn't really add any "depth" to his emotions.

Overall, I enjoyed the read, even though it wasn't the slow burn I was kinda looking for.

Mafia Story For Beginners

3.5/5

The pace was good and Aida kept her stands and not fold half way through the story.

Would have liked to see more of that emotional dynamic between Aida and Callum; it was a bit lackluster and rushed in some parts.

Wow... just wow

Let's get the obvious outta the way.

The smut- excellent. I'm genuinely jealous of Braxton. She got three rock gods all to her damn self! Loren: hilarious but can easily get on your nerves. Jericho: sweet as pie but don't get it twisted when he's turned on. Trust me. Houston: my favorite alpha but let someone cross him and they'll be nailed to one in a heartbeat.

For the rest of the story- even though there was a rocky start to it, it gradually got a little better and would tug on your heart just a bit. You can't help but laugh at their altercation and feel a type of way whenever one of them messes up. The overall plot is flat and dragged on, but the experience of being a rockstar on tour kept me on my toes... among other things. Definitely recommend it to all my girlies ♡

A cozy, murder mystery with a paranormal element to it. Think of it like a 90s or early 2000s type of crime story with a duo composed of a quirky travel agent that can merely see visions and a cop that finds her "unusual talent" to use.

It was alright overall. Some cringy moments made the quirky characters a little too childish for my liking. However, with its predictable climax, it's one I'd recommend if you're looking for a quick and lighthearted crime story.

Liiiisten- its a 3.5 for me.

The book is told by Rowan via letters from prison. There was definitely parts where I was like, "umm... is this a new entry?" But still, it was a nice take. Her relationship and dynamic with the kids made me feel a type of way; kids are never easy to deal with, but damn can they be conniving when they want to be. I was cheering yet pleading for Rowan to do something; but always felt short which didn't really add, if any, much weight to what we inevitably would find out. Then the plot twist came... and left. Just like that. Don't get me wrong, the build-up was alright and I didn't expect it. Took a bit to piece it all together. However, by the end, it just felt rushed and it left me with more questions than answers. I usually never have a problem with this type of conclusion, but in this case, there were a few plot holes that could have easily been filled and still keep the air of mystery.

Overall, it was a decent read with eerie parts that made me stick to it until the very end.

Cute, forbidden love story with an age gap, if you're into that.
