Alas a book with so much promise that doesn’t come through. It starts out so well... and simply drags on to go nowhere. It gets far too complicated, the romance comes on to strong without enough development, and the ending is quite unsatisfying... probably to lead to a sequel, which I won’t be reading. The author had so much promise. Strong bits of writing here and there... but as a whole, much room for improvement
Wanted to really love this book as Inam a fan of her gorgeous writing style and loved the Night Circus... however in this case... I couldn’t get in to the story or finish it.
