Stories about people who are prescribed a cat, and how the cats impact their lives.
After the second one, they seemed quite samey.
I like the messaging but I've worked with animals for too long to overlook the stress that would be caused by the constant back and forth some of the cats were going through (from the clinic to their house and back to the clinic and back to their house).

57 pages and after the snail died I was no longer invested in any of the characters
On reread, liked it more and if I was still using star ratings, it'd be bumped to a 4*. In addition, this is the closest thing that I've found to a book like the tv show, Orphan Black. It clearly inspired the show, particularly in the mid-later seasons. I want more books like Orphan Black.
Original rating: 3* and no review.

I've read a few books about how the drug wars play out in Mexico, but this is an important read if you want to learn about how Mexico's communities are impacted.
"Tradition is the worst reason to do anything. It's not even a reason, it's an excuse."
I love Dawson's writing style, the way she subtly reminds you of the previous book's events during the current events without missing a beat.
Despite a formatting error at the start of every chapter, I'm grateful to have received an eARC from NetGalley.
I loved being back with these characters ❤️

The title should have been a dead giveaway, but I still had no idea this was a book about witches 😂
Main thoughts:
- it has a slight dark academia feel due to the setting
- it is a slow burn and my favourite POV was Minerva
Thank you to @netgalley for an eARCs of this book
Aliens impregnating all women of child-bearing age in a quiet village. A very unsettling read.
I checked out during book 1 and wanted to see if book 2 could reengage me. It did not.
It seems like Cahill has plucked ideas from other fantasy series and put them together to form this series.
I've read stories about dragons that are more show than tell.
I love Cahill’s short stories but Of Blood and Fire fell flat and this hasn't reignited my interest, unfortunately.

Finished one chapter. Can't remember the page number. Didn't care one bit.
