Words cannot begin to describe this book really. I thought the first one was good but this surpassed it. The amount of emotions I felt reading this was immense and it made me cry, I have never cried whilst reading. It is so beautifully written and you become so immersed in the story. Fast paced, lots of action. All I can say is if you haven't read this you need to. It was so GOOD.

I found this book so captivating and I couldn't put it down. I loved the world building and story telling. It gave me Hercules vibes with the monsters and like trails Xianying had to go through. Also with the immortals above where the humans couldn't go and the mortal relam below a bit like mount olympus. I felt for Xianying having to flee for both her and her mother's safety. I felt so heartbroken when Liwei broke her heart but he didn't mean to. I was so shocked about what happened with Wenzhi I did not see that coming at all. It did not necessarily end on a cliffhanger but left me questions so I am hoping these will be answered in the second book which I cannot wait to read. Amazing book.

This is my first audiobook and I think I picked a good one to start with. I did find it slow paced and I am not sure if that is because it is a dramatisation or because I  was anticipating what was going to happen because I have seen the film. I tried not to relate it to the film however it is difficult especially when I really like the film. Very much different to it. It was a cozy read and enjoyable.

I was gripped by the book however sometimes I did get a little confused because it was set from 2 POVs. At first the book was a little uncomfortable with the setting I couldn't imagine giving a child away being a mother but times were different back then. Then to find out the child had been taken the next day effectively stolen my heart sank. I felt for Bess. I also felt for Alexandra once I understood her story more but still didn't quiet agree with how she handled things. Ned's behaviour I detested and so many times I wished I could have hit him and screamed at him. The book shown a light on how things were back then and was upsetting to read. Considering what happened in the book I was so happy that it ended the way it did.

This book is nothing like I have read before. When I started it, it reminded me of the 'The Strain' which I am watching currently even though this is not about vampires however there are a few similarities but not many. This book is an intriguing dark fantasy. Dev is such a brave and courgeous woman. How the women and mothers are treated are terrible and is a little uncomfortable to read. I was gripped by the world building. I didn't see any of what took place or the twists/turns coming. The ending left me wanting to know what will happen and wanting more.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It did not finish at all how I was expecting. I love the story and the world building. I felt for Alyrra and at times I was screaming in my head at her but I am glad it didn't go the way I thought it should. It was quite sad in places and really felt for Alyrra but other times she had triumphs which were great to read about. Also read the novella at the end which is the same world but different people and place. Interesting read and I believe there is a link with the Faerie that is mentioned. Very interesting I can't wait to read to see how it carries on and if Alyrra and Kestrin will be in Rae's story.

I have mixed emotions about this book. I struggled with the names with it which as Japanese it is obvious. I just felt mmm about it. I thought that Ahn was going to turn out to be Altan's long lost sister but then when it was clear how they felt about each other I thought well I hope not cause that is going to be weird. It turns out I was wrong. I don't know if its cause I had that mindset through the book that I wasn't feeling it. I loved the magic elements in the book. I loved Tang Wein's abruptness and just her whole personality. I found Ahn to be a little annoying. I liked the story but sometimes it did feel a little rushed and information missed out. Also how it ends does that mean there going to be a sequel?

I found this book gripping and captivating. The characters I loved reading especially Luke/Lucian. It got confusing with Juliet/Nora/Sandra and Helen sometimes as the time kept flitting back and forth. Towards the end chapters became quite long and felt rushed but some of it I understand why it was rushed. I did not like how the curse had to stop and then the ending with a possible silver lining leaving wanting to know what happened. Very good read.

I enjoyed this book a mystery romance I feel it was. I didn't realise there would be domestic abuse involved. I got into the story line and the characters were relatable. You wanted to get to know them. Some of the twists I didn't overly enjoy. Overall a good read

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it was not what I was expecting at all. I thought it was going to be the usual cop story but this was far from it. It flits between timelines but it is worth it as it gives you the story and explains everything that is going on. From the beginning you think what is going on how is this all linked but the further the story goes you realise that it is all linked and the big twist of all it is only one woman. She is a mythical being that is hundreds of years old. Her touch kills. Was not expecting the end either. Amazingly written and I was gripped from the beginning all the way through to the end.
