The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle is a mind-bending mystery-thriller that takes the classic whodunit to a whole new level. The protagonist, Aiden Bishop, finds himself trapped in Blackheath Manor, forced to solve the murder of Evelyn Hardcastle. However, each day, Aiden wakes up in the body of a different guest at the manor, reliving the same day from multiple perspectives.

Stuart Turton’s novel is a masterful blend of time loops, body-swapping, and intricate plot twists that keep the reader on edge. As Aiden gathers clues from each guest, it becomes clear that not everyone is as they seem—and time is running out for him to solve the mystery and break free from this cycle.

The writing is complex but engaging, weaving a multi-layered narrative that rewards readers who pay attention to the smallest details. The pacing is relentless, and the final reveal is as satisfying as it is surprising.

If you love puzzles, mysteries, and novels that challenge your perceptionit is a must-read.

I would also suggest reading over listening. I did the audio version and often missed small clues.
