The premise of the book was really good. Overall there were no real flaws in it and the plot was interesting but it just felt somehow disappointing. Maybe I just had to high of an expectation. The
murder
was just not interesting and this part of the story that should have been the climax was not develops enough, and the aftermath was interesting but still not explored deeply enough. The idea of the book was cool but execution felt rushed. Overall it read a bit bland.

The book was so fluffy and wholesome. Loved the relationship between Alex and Henry and their personal development. However the last third was way too unrealistic, it felt like a fan fiction and made me roll my eyes at every page. They should have just focused on the love relationship instead of tackling every social problem ever.

It’s great. I read it after finding his essay on the Atlantic, because i was really interested in history and the book didn’t disappoint at all. if you don’t want to read the entire book the easy on stands by itself and iOS informative enough.
