I like this series Herron has created. I thought this installment was heavier on the cheese than the first book. But I love the characters, the adventure and the knitting.

This is one of the best books I've read in a long time. The characters are what often resonates with me about a particular book besides perhaps plot points or searching for typos. These characters were rich and vibrant. The author writes in colors. The movie is pretty good too.
WLT: A Radio Romance by Garrison Keillor

I did not finish every page of this book - only about half. I didn't hate, but I didn't love it. It was mostly just stories like his radio show but they seemed a little disjointed to me so I moved on with my life. They did contain his trademark wit and penchant for the absurd though.
The Clothes They Stood Up in and the Lady and the Van by Alan Bennett

The Lady in the Van is one of the funniest and also most touching things I've ever read. Bennett is hilarious. The Clothes They Stood Up In is good but depressing.
