Old Enough was a beautiful book. I resonated and connected with this book in more ways than one. I finished the book feeling so seen. It was a gorgeous mix/balance of love, lighthearted jokes, complicated friendship dynamics, the journey to embracing your full self, and coming to terms with hard experiences. Haley Jakobson did an amazing job writing the experience of growing into yourself while simultaneously growing out of relationships and routines that no longer suit you. Friendship dynamics and toxic patterns are so nuanced and complex and Savannah's journey navigating these is extremely relatable. I loved this book and I wish I could read it for the first time again!

When Women Were Dragons was a beautiful and thought-provoking book. I loved the way that Kelly Barnhill weaved in scientific/medical documents and history documentation with the story. This book made me feel so many things and I wanted to live in it and examine them for, forever. The way in which a womxn's role in the family/home, workplace, military, society was examined was so interesting. I also loved the examination of the internal conflict of the "duty" to their families and to themselves that the womxn who dragoned versus didn't dragon. I thought the taboo surrounding dragoning and it's parallels to feminity and to things society deems inherently feminine was very interesting. I could go on forever about this book but I will leave it at this for the sake of not spoiling anything for other readers. Just know, that if you love feminist theory/thought and enjoy a good historical/speculative fiction, When Women Were Dragons is 100% for you!

I LOVED this book -- it was so cutesy and cheesey and perfect. Misery and Lowe's relationship had me kicking my feet the ENTIRE book. I absolutely devoured this book in four days. SO good!

This has become tied for my favorite in the Never After series (tied with Hooked and Crossed). I loved Julian, the forced marriage trope, the sassiness of Yazmin, and the subtle nudges to Aladdin.

I loved this book— I wasn’t sure if I would since I was convinced to read it from Booktok and that has steered me wrong in the past BUT I was hooked. I completed it through a combo of e-reading and audiobook and that helped me power through (as it is long and has a lot of world building). I loved how it brought me back to my fantasy roots (anyone else read dragonology in elementary/middle school?) — the plot/action was a cross between Divergent and the Hunger Games and the love story/triangle was a cross between A Court of Mist and Fury and the Hunger Games, and the dragon aspect will wrap every person’s inner child in a whirlwind of adventure.
