I am such a sucker for a split timeline, and this one is *chef’s kiss*. It adds so much to the slow burn. This book was all I could think about for the past 24 hours. 

Also shoutout to the audiobook version on Spotify, very well done and not cringeworthy like some!

I don’t know if it was the plot or the fmc but I just couldn’t get into the story. The writing was good though!

Becka Mack does it again! She always writes the heartfelt and warm fuzzies so well. Jaxon was so funny to me because he wanted so badly to act as if he wasn’t this big teddy bear of a guy but was scared of growing close to anyone. And Lennon was a perfect partner for him because she was kind and willing to wait, she was steady and he needed that to finally deconstruct his walls.

I don’t know, the writing was great the plot was pretty good too. But I think the smut scenes being more closed door kind of irritated me since the characters had soooo much chemistry! 

I feel like some of the fluff could have been cut the shorten up the story.

So cute! Loved how head over heels Maverick was for Emmy. We love a strong man who knows women are also strong as hell.

This is my favorite Maren Moore book, hands down. It was such an adorable and modern twist on A Cinderella Story. There were just enough call backs to the movie for it to not be cheesy and be a story all its own.

Takes the cake for my favorite Emily Henry read! 

The way she paints Miles at the beginning makes you confused and maybe a tad weary as to why he’s the love interest. But as the story unfold you grow to love his flaws and understand why he is the way he is.
