Every Missing Girl takes you on a journey in FBI Agent Kendall Becks viewpoint, who is actively between two investigations: one that includes a double homicide and a potential kidnapping, and another that includes her oldest friend's niece Frankie going missing. Investigations that will reveal secrets that NOBODY was expecting. Investigations that will end up twirling together to form a jaw dropping end that will make you audibly gasp! (like me)
I absolutely loved Sparks' writing of Kendall's character, even without reading the first book in the Kendall Beck series, I felt like you knew who she was and even got a glimpse into her past trauma with her best friend's untimely death. Kendall is another one of those STRONG female characters that I can't rave enough about! She is gritty when she needs to be, and especially in her field, but she has a softness about her that absolutely shines through and you just know she ended up in the exact line of work the world needed her to be in. I don't know that Adam could have made it through this without her, and even though he clearly SHOULD NOT have been included in his niece's investigation-I love how much she thought of him during the process.
Without mentioning too much and giving away potential spoilers, my heart literally broke for Poppy. Unfortunately, I pre-judged her and ended up being completely wrong. Thank you Leanne Sparks for that, I truly love when books prove me wrong!
Overall, I really enjoyed this book and plan to follow along the Kendall Beck series now. I would encourage anyone who loves the thriller/mystery genre to look into this book and this author.
Thank you to NetGalley and Crooked Lane Books for the digital advance copy of this book.

I am late to this book and Penelope Douglas in general! Birthday Girl is only my second read of hers, and I loved her first so I wasn't too worried about not liking this.
Favorite Quote: "I don't care about the wedding. I just want the life."
First of all - there are MANY mixed reviews, but I really liked to FMC Jordan. I feel that given the circumstances of her life, she portrays herself in a mostly mature manner for the majority of this book. Does she have a few moments of immaturity or general teenage bratiness? YES, but overall she is a strong willed, smart, and ambitious girl just looking for a somewhat normal life!
Secondly, Cole....ugh this boy made me so mad throughout this book for a multitude of reasons, but I am sure you all can guess why! I think a lot of his immaturity stems from his relationship/babying from his mom Lindsey (who is a shitshow). It's hard to be too mad at him, because I know he clearly is just acting like a teen. The way his story ended and the life he figured out for himself made me really happy, because you could tell he needed direction and the military can definitely provide that!
Now Pike....oh man. Considering I am closer to Pike's age than Jordan/Cole, I had an OVERWHELMING love for him. Do I think the age gap/falling for your sons gf thing is weird? Slightly, yes. BUT I think Jordan's maturity level makes up for the initial awkwardness I felt with the almost 20 year age gap. Putting aside the situation or background of how they fell in love, Pike is really such a great example of how a man should be in a lot of situations.
Additional character love: SHEL!!! HELLO!?! This woman literally gave the best speech of the entire book. Talk about WOMAN EMPOWERMENT/FRIENDSHIPS. I loved the relationship between her and Jordan.
Spicy scenes: Overall, there wasnt a large amount of spicy but there was enough to keep it interesting. But the desk corner? Um....confusion. LOL

This is Emma McGeown’s third book and my first of hers, but I was pleased with how much I enjoyed her writing style. Rather than focus solely on the romantic love aspect, this story also showcases two mothers who would do absolutely anything to ensure their child’s happiness, even if that means jeopardizing their own. Having sons myself, the mother/son bonds touched my heart
This was an easy 5 for me, from start to finish!
I have never read a more perfectly matched couple than Beyah and Samson. It’s honestly as if they were destined to cross paths.
They always say you learn the most lessons from your first love, and I feel like both characters gained a genuinely better outlook on life fueled by each other! They fought for each other, believed in each other, and cheered for each other. (Yes I’m referring to the sand volley scene

Ninety Days Without You gives you a realistic view into life with addiction, mental illness, and provides focus on the effects of serious TW topics, such as; childhood trauma, sexual assault, and abuse. While topics are heavy, the writing is informative and honest.
Jennifer Woodward does a wonderful job at balancing out intense subject matter with fun, witty moments throughout. From Mattie’s flamboyant antics to Kat/Charlie’s banter, you can’t be bored with this book.
I found myself glued to this from start to finish, shocked continuously, and in awe of such a amazing conclusion. A conclusion of hope, empowerment, and recovery.
Unbelievable debut, with such a beautiful and heartbreaking story! Read this, now. You won’t regret it.
Thank you NetGalley, Cameron Publicity & Marketing Ltd, and author Jennifer Woodward for access to this digital arc.

WOWWWWWWWW!
First of all, I NEEEEDDDDDD a movie adaptation of this book so badly. SO BADLY.
Evelyn Hugo, I mean…how do you even put this woman into words? Absolute freaking icon of a human. I’m not sure how everyone else feels about her, but I am OBSESSED with that woman.
This book is magic, honestly. The different sections laid out for each husband and point in life, were so perfectly written. TJR is an absolute master, I can’t and won’t stop saying that.
Read this if you haven’t, or read it again. Also, someone plssssssss pitch this movie into the universe. We need Evelyn Hugo on screen. ASAP.

Eden Boudreau, thank you for writing this book. For being as resilient and forthcoming as you were about an extremely traumatic time in your life. Thank you for sharing. You have no idea the difference your story makes.
This book is gut-wrenching and honest, and will probably make you feel more emotions than you are prepared for. But read the book, because people need to see the reality of sexual assault and rape. Not only the brutality and statistics, but the aftermath too.
Also I hope people take into account that not everyone’s relationship is the same, and that’s okay. Because what works for some, doesn’t have to work for others.
Thank you to Netgalley and Book*hug for the digital arc of this book!

Would you do anything to get the answers that haunted your life for 24 years?
Lily receives a life-changing call that may finally give her the opportunity to find her mom, even at the reluctancy of those around her, including her sister Iris.
24 years ago, during what Lily and Iris believe to be another of their mothers “breakdowns,” their mother Elsa takes them and two orphaned girls on a road trip across Australia. Their road trip ends with 2 missing people, Iris acting suspicious, and 11 year old Lily trying to comprehend.
This story is a heartbreaking and eye-opening look into a woman’s fight to be free. A mother’s strength. And the reality of the picture we paint to shield our kids from our pain.
Author Anni Taylor wrote this story so beautifully, with such amazing insight into each character. I will keep Elsa in my heart from this point forward ❤️

I feel like I audibly said “what the fuck is happening?” a plethora of times while reading this, but IN A GOOD WAY!
This was my first Patrick Morgan book, and now can’t be my last!
Lance struggles through LA, with small acting gigs, before luckily meeting one of Hollywood’s most powerful and seductive women. Selene captivates Lance within a moment, and now he will do anything to keep her and make it!
The spice level is just right, leaving you completely engulfed in the moments but also wanting more. You get numerous scenes throughout, but all with such different emotions! Let me just say…THE RAINSTORM
