Truly what I was looking for in this book. I enjoyed the dynamic between the 2 main characters and the fact that there are so many kind of fairies of different cultures and rituals and all that.. I think this will become a comfort read

Although the characters and story are interesting enough for me to continue with the serious, I felt it was a bit confusing.

As much as I loved this and it made me laugh out loud and it made me feel like I was being hugged, there is one thing that bothers me (and it could be considered a spoiler): usually in the media asexuality is associated with robots and stuff like that. So having an asexual character was great! But having him falling in love with a robot bothered me. I think it would be better not to have a romance than to represent an asexual being in love with, basically, a being with no gender as if that is the option that asexual people have. I know that the book is not “be all” but it still bothers me

I am in complete awe with this book! It is exactly like a fairytale should be. Wonderful, dreaming and scary and dark. And even the end.. at first I was like “I don’t like the endjng” but then I realised that I exactly how a fairytale should end and it is just incredible. Definitely already one of my favourites of this year.

Not an easy read, but an important one. The magic system was very interesting and the characters were very distinct and strong. The only thing that I wasn’t a fan of (and that might be consider a minor spoiler) is that the group had to keep fighting against each other. Once I understand, twice I can be kinda okay with it, but by the third time I was wondering if the superiors would end up with any recruits since they were always fighting each other to the death. But still, that was the only thing. Really can’t wait for the next instalment in the series!
