Pretty Boy by Brianna Flores
Did not finish book. Stopped at 28%.

Not feeling it. The feminization of Liam in their sexual dynamic was not for me. I didn’t feel connected to any of the characters

This book is so good. I felt like it was a liiiiiiittle too long, but honestly I’m going to keep thinking about this plot and these characters for a while. They are so lovable

Loved this! Characters were so great. I loved that we got so much from Goldie’s perspective. The pacing was good. The spice was hot and deepened the character’s relationship. After reading a string of not so great books, this was a breath of fresh air

Um what?? What just happened? This book started off fine. Nothing special but the writing was fine, and the characters and premise were cute. I was thinking 4⭐️. Then at about the halfway mark, this book took a nose dive. The cousin jokingly threatens to rape Bennet if he hurts Katy. That’s not ok. And they have anal sex and he doesn’t use lube. That’s not ok. And honestly the way the whole rest of the book is written is like this unsettling “tell, not show” style where literal months pass by like “and then we did this. And then two months later we did this.” It felt like something a kid would write. It was so off putting. Did the second half of this book not get read by an editor? I’m confused. 

Black and Silver by Gwendolyn Harper

I didn’t vibe with this book. I almost DNF’d it a bunch of times. The plot to smut ratio was way off for me. I didn’t feel any emotional connection to the characters (except maybe Boris). The plot’s climax felt like it was supposed to elicit a big emotional response, but there was no previous groundwork to make me feel any sort of feelings about it 

Cheap Heat by Lily Mayne

Entertaining as heck. Golden retriever fuckboy meets neurodivergent coded black cat bi awakening. I wasn’t super interested in reading this pairing after the previous book, but when will I learn that Lily Mayne is just going to make it good and I’m going to enjoy it. I think Larkin and Seb are still my favorite, but I thought Rafe and Dan were cute. I liked Dan’s character development and shock when he realizes he wants to be in a relationship with Rafe. I feel like most of Rafe’s character development happens in the first half of the book and then he’s not so dynamic of a character the second half

Short and cute! Dalton was super random and I am here for it. I thought that this short book packed a entertaining punch

Broken by the Horde King by Zoey Draven

Second chance romance between maeva and kiran (rath okkili). I liked this quite a bit. Parts of it were 5 stars for me - I loved Maeva and her story and background. I like that she is so capable and skilled. I loved all the flashback scenes and memories of when they were younger and seeing their bond and children. I liked that Kiran was so determined to win her back. That being said, it felt a little long and winding. I also wish Kiran had a better reason to have rejected her than because he didn’t think he was good enough. Some of the writing was repetitive. But I love this world and this series and I’m excited to see what’s going to happen next with the over arching plot. I just wish there was a glossary of all the horde kings name because I don’t remember who is who when they’re referenced

The Perfect Fit by Sadie Kincaid
Did not finish book. Stopped at 33%.

The first third of this book is 10% plot, 90% smut, which is fine if that’s what you’re looking for. But I felt like it was just trying too hard to be shocking at the expense of any emotional connection between the characters. It seems like maaaaaybe there was some other plot points on the horizon but I didn’t like the writing enough to continue
