Yooooooooo this was so good! I loved the magic aspect of this one that wasn’t in the previous books of the series. The way the character development happened for davik was so beautifully done. The beginning of the book I was thinking “how is she going to make this guy lovable??” and by the end, I was totally on board with him. But I felt like the progression of that for him was gradual enough that it made sense. I really enjoyed this book! I do roll my eyes all the times when Vienne thinks she should tell him something but decides against it or “just can’t get the words to come out.” Like, just talk to each other! That and I knocked it down slightly also for the trope of the heroine having to lose her powers at the end to solve the problem. But other than that - it was perfect

Maybe workplace orc books just aren’t my thing? This was insta-lust, mates, size difference. Writing was ok. It just felt boring to me. I sort of had to force myself to finish it

Ehhhh I was on board for about the first 30% of the book, enjoying myself. But once they got together, it took a nose dive for me. It was too quick, skipped any of the cuteness that could have happened. I also didn’t like the fmc, Janice. The breakup was dumb. I wish we had gotten a lot more about the mmc khent because any part with him was the highlight for me. There wasn’t a lot of dialogue, mostly just in the fmc’s thoughts. And the verb tense kept switching back and forth, and it really really took me out of the story. The last 30% I skimmed because the writing was so hard to follow. Like, the last sex scene when they’re on a window ledge? I think? And the fmc goes “over the edge” and I thought she literally fell off the window ledge but apparently to that just meant she climaxed? It just was so hard to follow and logistically didn’t make sense

This has to be a 5⭐️ for how much it made me laugh and cry. The characters are lovely. The authors note at the beginning is important, and the way the author writes the characters, especially Win, and how Win processes motherhood is really special.

This series is so much fun! The books are short and sweet and the characters and setting are great. Fallon is the most gold retriever-y of all golden retrievers. Almost past the point of being too much, but I think it matches the lighthearted tone of the series. He carried the book for me. I wish Darcy had been more surly but instead she succumbed to fallon’s charms pretty much immediately.

I loved this one! Class differences trope was well done. Degradation kink, which usually isn’t my cup of tea, was hot. I liked this omegaverse world. I loved Blake and Inika. Both of their character development was lovely. Pacing was good. It was great smut and vibes, as the authors note in the back describes it.

This was super cute low angst, high sappy sweetness. Their third act break up lasted like less than 24 hours because they were both so lost without the other. It was adorable

Yup, this one was great too. I liked the relationship arc for Juno and Isaac. I really just liked all the characters a lot.
I feel like it’s a good thing this wasn’t my first foray into RH because that would have set my expectations for other RH unrealistically high. Reading these two after knowing that most RH isn’t like this feels like a treat

I’m surprised by how much I really liked this! I thought I didn’t like RH, but this one proved me wrong! Similar to Lola and the millionaires but better! I liked Juno a lot. The spicy scenes are really good and they really feel like they deepen the character development. My main complaint with RH is that there isn’t a lot of character development for the MMCs so they feel like caricatures and very one dimensional. These guys didn’t feel like that - I felt invested in all of their relationships. I really enjoyed this book!!

Edit: I’m coming back to change my rating from 4.5 to 5⭐️ because I can’t stop thinking about and recommending this book.

As I read this, I kept upping my rating of it as it went along. It wasn’t that it kept getting better and better, it was good from the beginning. I think it just maintained how good it was and added to the dimensions of the characters created to make it pack some really great emotional punches. As billed, it was an amazing enemies to lovers story. I love Sebastian so much. I love how their relationship maintained who they were as people, rather than them acting one way and being someone else internally. They were genuine throughout and it was a process of them being messy and damaged people and figuring it out  to be together. I really really enjoyed this. Also, Sebastian… the thoughtfulness of this man… I don’t know if I’ll ever get over it
