Cute but could have done with more editing. A lot of times we were having repeated to us what we already knew, whether it was through dialogue between characters about something that already happened, or just repetitive author narration. Also Danny sure winked a lot…

This was entertaining. Totally over the top, but a fun read. Kage’s dirty talk was A+.

A solidly good book. The premise was not super unique but the characters were lovable and the way she intertwined the character for the next book in the series with the plot was well done, and it made me want to read the next one when it comes out.

I did like how the characters worked together to figure out the conflict, which was external to their relationship. I wish Peter’s character had been more memorable. I feel like there was a lot of “telling” for him about his character, but not a lot of “showing.”

I was smiling and giggling through this whole book. Larkin is hilarious. Seb has my heart. And larkin’s family - especially his dad - made me squeal with how so freaking adorable they were. Spicy scenes were spicing, which was like, most of the book. Like the first book in the series, not much plot but the character development was so entertaining. I liked that their relationship developed and then they didnt have to go through a breakup to make it interesting or whatever. Maybe my one wish would be that we had gotten a flashback scene to when seb and Larkin first met and seb fell in love with him. Honestly loved this book so much.

I want more of Marion and Lorik’s story! This world was so cool. I LOVE Zoey Draven’s Kylorr series, and even tho this was technically connect to that, it was very different. Different lore and world. It was so cool! I really hope she continues writing about them - I was to know what it’s like when Marion goes to the Below!

This was really good! I liked the characters, the spice was hot and didn’t feel repetitive, and I’m interested in knowing what comes next for this little colony. My favorites are stories like this where the conflict comes from the outside and the couple fights against it together, instead of a third act break up just for the drama.

I love Zoey Draven’s writing. This one missed the mark for me, though. There wasn’t anything particularly interesting or original. It’s the first book of 2 that follows the same couple, but I don’t feel interested enough to read the next one.

Cute. Short and cheesy but in a fun way. Light on details but I thought how Bryn took care of his family was very charming. It all wrapped up too neatly too quickly for it to be super satisfying (hence the cheesiness)

I wish this has been better than it was. The first book in the series was 5⭐️. I loved that one so much. The writing in this book was not great. It’s also longer than any of the other books in the series by a lot, and I felt like a lot of the book was filler. It didn’t feel inspired. I often was confused but what was happening, and there were repetitive phrases that became annoying. We didn’t get much from Levi’s point of view, which I missed, and when we did, it just didn’t have any personality. I felt like the plot of predictable. The red herring was obvious. Even the interactions between Levi and blue felt forced and without much chemistry.

The writing was enjoyable. The plot dragged a bit for me in the middle and it just felt like you were waiting for the other shoe to drop. And then when it did, it was kind of weird? But I liked the happy ending. The other thing tho was that I didn’t really like Alex as a character. He was so rich boy entitled. Like, Gwen grew up playing violin in the subway to be able to buy groceries and he has a million dollar cello? I don’t feel like he ever came to a place of understanding why she craved financial stability
