🤷🏼♀️ I loved it. Might be a right book at the right time thing for me, but I couldn’t put this book down. I thought the pacing was great. I liked that there wasn’t much plot beyond their relationship because I loved their interactions together. I loved that Lori wasn’t the one to fall in love first. I thought the epilogue was one of the best I’ve read. I will definitely be rereading this
Ranger by Dr. Rebecca Sharp

Ranger carried this book. I don’t know if I can forgive the author for naming the brothers “Archer” “Hunter” “Gunner” and “Ranger.” But I also didn’t read the rest of the series so I didnt have to be subjected to that too much. Sydney was very blah. The plot was a little slow and predictable in some ways, but Ranger ticked all my boxes for a MMC and I liked this book overall. The epilogues were a little OTT for me, but again, I didn’t read any of the others in the series so I wasn’t the target audience for the emotional reward the author was trying to give at the end
The Scandal of Rose: A Gilded Age Novella by Joanna Shupe
fast-paced

A fun, short read. It was long enough to have some depth but it was fast paced so it kept my attention. Age gap isn’t my favorite trope, but I did like the grovel at the end
Impulsive Connections by Marie Reynard

Despite this book being at least 150 pages too long, I’m really enjoying this story! I’m definitely here for the plot more than the spice, this time, which is fine. Though I do wish there had been more to the scene where Liam and Kade finally get together, since we waited more than 400 pages to get there. But Kade was so sweet. I loved him so much. The scene where he was trying to talk all fancy to woo Liam when he realized he they had a true bond was hilarious. But yeah, the book was definitely too long and repetitive, but the characters were funny and lovable and I am invested in this plot! I am looking forward to Aran’s book!
Accidental Bonds by Marie Reynard

So good! It was a little hard to get into at first. It felt a little wordy at the beginning, but it sucked me in quickly. The plot is really good. I can’t wait to see what happens next. I also loved the characters. Victor and Elijah were so sweet. I liked that when conflict arose they weren’t unnecessarily mean to each other just for the sake of drama. And the slow burn was yum
Spy On Me by Marina Vivancos

Short novella that was great. The narrative style was different than I’m used to, and I liked that. I liked the pace of it being like “oh yeah Mateo’s a badass spy doing all these crazy missions but he’s so good we don’t even hardly have to mention them.” So the focus was just on the relationship. And for such a short story, it really cut me open emotionally. I felt for Mateo. This was really well done
Shroom for Improvement by Jemma Croft

This was very cute and silly. As a soil health nerd myself, I appreciated Sonny and his whole thing. I really like how Jemma Croft writes! I thought this was a little long, but still enjoyable. I loved Claude and his dirty fingers kink!

Don’t let the cover fool you! This book is so sweet! And I love love love when a person’s character arc includes therapy! Yes! It was short, so we didn’t get a lot of depth from Damon and Josh, but I didn’t mind that. It was about Leo and his journey and it was lovely.
