Phoebe wonders when it’ll be her turn to fall in love, after watching her best friend and her brother settle down. She’s finished grad school, she’s settled into her career. She’s fine everything right.
Declan is a bartender and he loves it. It’s not the life his parents planned, but it’s his.For six years these two have been just friends, too scared to ruin the friendship. But what happens when one question changes all of that?
I loved this book. As someone who is approaching 30, it’s nice to be reminded that there is no such thing as late. I think it’s easy to see the carefully curated version of people’s lives and worry that you’re behind, but you aren’t. You’re constantly growing and changing just like Phoebe and Declan.

This book was less than 100 pages and honestly the literature speaks for itself. There are no words that I could type here that would do this book justice. Kressman Taylor delves into the descent into Nazi German from the point of view of two friends, a Jew from Germany who is now living in America and his friend, a non Jew, who recently moved back to Germany.
To think you have been friends with someone for so long and to have gone into business with them, have shared food and drink with them in their home and to discover one day that you have no idea who this person is anymore.

“You can be the love you wish you had. “
Hannah is an Executive Protection Agent, but she’s not at all who you picture as a bodyguard. She’s cute, short, and unsuspecting. Jack Stapleton needs protecting. He’s a movie star returning to his home town to be with his sick mother. Not wanting to worry his family as to why he needs a bodyguard, Jack has Hannah pretend to his girlfriend. Hannah has a rule: don’t get attached to clients. What happens when the line between acting and reality blur?
I cried so many tears reading this book. Jack and Hannah were so cute and I loved listening to their story come together. If we never met by John K definitely reminds me of them. As for Robbie, I hope he steps on a Lego.

I enjoyed this book and I felt like there could have been a third. The Infidels. That’s what they call Nick, Patch, Lauren, Phoebe, and Thad after everything that happened last year. The rag tag group of five have pulled back the veil on the inner workings of the Society and they want out. But the only thing harder than getting into the Society is getting out.
